Jewell claims that he left Wigan because he couldn't get the players he wanted to go there. He might be telling porkies but it's worth considering his side of things.

Given that at least two of their summer signings preferred Pieland to the Reebok, Jewell presumably wouldn't be ecstatic at the idea of coming here.

After his sacking from Chelsea, apparently Mourinho has said he now wishes to return to Portugal and never be seen in England again.

The McCann's have allegedly offered their assistance.

They've been playing his finest press-conference moments on SSN all day. I'd forgotten his riff about bird flu ("Worried about the game? I'm more worried about bird flu. I'm serious. There's a dead swan in Scotland, that's not far away...") Compared to the anodyne likes of Benitez and the asinine Allardyce, he'll be very much missed - not least by journalists.

Looks like United have given their two penneth to the FA regarding his lack of qualifications (as they did with Southgate and Roeder) and I personally think they're well within their rights.

If your Tornado is ever shot down and you think that drinking straight from the tap might be your only resort apparantley you've got to drink the fresh stuff.

Don't drink stuff that you've been holding onto for days as that's not good for you. Drink some of your water ration then have a piss 'chaser'

You can't buy an education like this can you?

I think it was one of the years we got promoted; she was our celebrity fan in a three page News of the World spread. Or perhaps I dreamt it, can't be certain.
