Signing him, for that much money, so early in the window, is just dumb. Shouldn't they have waited to see what is going on with Eto'o?Worthy4England wrote:That would probably be really funny if City's benefactor didn't only have 499,999,999,983 million left to go at...Village_Idiot2 wrote:17 million for Roque Santa Cruz

Another £30/40m for him would only leave them with 499,999,999,943...See how most of the digits at the left of the number don't change much....

All they need is 5 or so to be decent out of the 10 or so they sign, and even if they fail that they can try signing a new manager and giving him 10 goes at buying players...
15million should do it.

Nah, this is the same story as Ronaldinho etc. Get themselves linked with one of the best strikers in the world. Then buy an average crock, but overpay so it looks like they're spending wellH. At some point though you do have to consider questions of squad unhappiness . . . oh wait anybody who would go to Man City is clearly happy to park their ass on the bench and collect a paycheck.Worthy4England wrote:H. Iker Casillas denies he wants to move to Manchester United:

Personally I'd think he'd be thrilled to get a defense in front of him that would actually protect him. Last time Perez ushered in a "Galacticos" era Casillas was routinely the most shot-at keeper in Spain.

Wenger is crapping himself thinking City may displace his infants from the top four, they are being taken seriously in other parts.officer_dibble wrote:Its an iffy signing, but like anything city do this summer it doesn't really matter!

What does it matter? It's an opinion, no need to swoop so swoopingly and killing the conversation.BWFC_Insane wrote:Where the fook did I say it wasn't true?Bruno wrote:This place is so tediously serious these days.
How do you know it isn't true?
I merely asked how anyone would know one way or t'other.
Was right all along

It was an opinion phrased as fact. Hence the question.Bruno wrote:What does it matter? It's an opinion, no need to swoop so swoopingly and killing the conversation.BWFC_Insane wrote:Where the fook did I say it wasn't true?Bruno wrote:This place is so tediously serious these days.
