Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
because they wont , they've more money than us.
martinez has sacked off his "spanish football" for hoofball.
even if he does go, bent dave will get a reasonable one in.
he had his coyle/lee wierdman appointment with hitchins or whatever he were called.
made him realize it costs money to be ok.
the cheap bastard.

I couldn't resist congratulating them on their appointment of Dalglish and then recommending Steve Kean from Blackburn, as he's shrewd in the market and a real grafter.

New Liverpool manager?
Look no further than Gary Megson. Proven Premier League record. Loved and missed by all the fans at every club he has managed. Sure to get Liverpool's current crop of underperformers playing the "Liverpool Way". He's currently on his latest period of gardening leave and could probably start right away. It's a no-brainer. Meggo's the man.
I do hope that they take my advice on board.

Martinez has been offered the job....according to Whelan.
Staggering if true.

2 wonderful points immediately. I'm sure there will be more.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Martinez has been offered the job....according to Whelan.

1. Martinez appears to have been offered the job. His first response is "give me a few days to think about it". Can you imagine the scouse fans reaction to that ?
of which is point 2 ;
2. The fans appear to hate this choice. There are already people on RAWK going apeshit. Some even saying that this must be resisted & he must be hounded out "like we did to Hodgson".
oh, & while we're here ... the vast majority seem to still want Rafa. The owners very cleaarly do not. The owners are now deemed to be traitors who also must be hounded out.
Fckg brilliant.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I dont get the Martinez is rubbish line. Wigan were one decent striker and one decent centre half away from being a good upper mid table side last season and played some decent football. Martinez is an intelligent, innovative manager with good public relations skills. Liverpool fans are to some degree a bit thick. Their reaction to the failure of the old king is to want to replace him with another old king(Benitez) No imagination and a rather rosy memory of what was. With quality players and a bit of money there is every chance Martinez will be their best manager in 20 years and in 8 years time the koppites will demanding that he come back and manage them again. As for wigan rumours of a steve bruce return. They wont be going down theyll be going back to what they always were. Perenial ordinary and managed by an annoying fella with silly hair and firmer tits than most girls his age

Except there's been no approach from Liverpool to Swansea. But other than that you're correct.David Lee's Hair wrote:Turned down by Brenda Rodgers.... but they are massive...
