£13mil on a sub-conference player, for shame.....
Sunderland yet again win the most ridiculous signing award of the TW. So he was worth £6.6m when he went to France, and now after scoring 14 in 47 in the French league his value has doubled.

More ridiculous than Yaya Toure?

"I've got a great idea.. We're going to buy this player right, who couldn't get near his sides squad last season, never mind the starting 11. Once we pay £24 Million for him, we're going to... And here's the best bit. We're going to *snigger* make him the highest paid footballer in the whole world! What d'ya reckon? ..Guys? ..... Guys?"

To be fair not being able to make Barcelona's squad isn't exactly a savage indictment of one's ability. Whilst he's far from the best footballer he's not a bad player (although not entirely sure why Mancini insists on using him as an attacking midfielder whilst benching Silva).

With regards to City's money I just disregard any figures I read in relation to their players. Whilst Toure is being paid an obscene amount of money it is so so so much less than what they have. The wallet of these guys is so vast that they can afford to give any target whatever they ask for and not care about the amount - it's the equivalent of us haggling over a couple of pennies.

You can all fill in your own answer to that question.
The Van Der Vaart thing was a complete hoax!
What do you mean?
Sorry my mistake. Ignore my ramblings!

I think Harry Redknapp invented deadline day!

What do you say to that Harry? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJBsI7RAuvk

On Toure, I know its a lot and I know he isn't worth it, but impressive thus far, no? Cracking box to box player by the looks of it...

Still £20 million + what, quadruple wages better than Fabrice?

I'm going to try so hard to live my life without ever saying that, for fear of breaking down in tears :D

Lets face it Redknapp can do what he wants.

More reason to hate the tosser.

Backhanders-a-plenty and probably Masons involved.

Cock-off tottenham, this is why people hate you.

That's a bit like my missus buying stuff in the sales. ''I bought this (insert fatuous item) for £60 in the sales. It was reduced from £160, so I've saved £100!!''

No love, you've bought into the marketing ploy and SPENT £60!!!

Harry, you're a fat faced wheeler-dealing twitchy jowled cockend.
