Benitez .... prick

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

There's a lot more to young Torres than goals, he has quiet games like the rest of them, he can't be as good as Davo every game!
No, but he's probably got more chance of an England cap....

When he doesn't score his impact on a game is usually zero!
You're obviously not watching the same football as most of us, then.
I agree with blurred. There's much more to Torres' game than scoring goals.

Diving, for one.
No, remember that Steven Gerrard said he helped Torres eliminate that habit.

See, here is Gerrard showing Torres what NOT to do.

I'd like to hope so but I'm not sure . . . United have been playing with fire recently, lots of close calls.

Back with all those posts that said we'd be out of the title race by Xmas? Or the ones that said we were out of it in January? Or February? Or after losing to Boro?

It's not over till the large lady starts warbling. We've just had our hardest game of the run-in and they've had their easiest. Two games against Hull and Toon at home should see 6 points, whereas you'd expect Spurs then Boro away to be somewhat more challenging for them (especially with a European game thrown in between them).

There's another twist or two left yet, I'd fancy.

... correct. But I think I just saw Hattie Jacques gargling.

Aye, quite possibly. They're huge favourites and everyone knows it. The thing is they've been huge favourites since January, and we've been written off at least twice since then, but keep scrapping back. This weekend we play before them, so a win puts the pressure back on them before they meet Spurs at tea-time. Next weekend they play before us, so we'll know their result before we go out to play against the Toon... It's a funny old game.

It is a funny old game but the problem now is you not only need a twist, but a full on 360 degree about turn, then you also need to hold your nerve.

But anyways, can you at least beat Newcastle?

That would be nice!

If we can't I'll be fairly inconsolable, to say the least! Yes, we need a big about-turn, but it's still there to fight for.

If United win their next two that's game over for me. Then they''ll be the equivalent of 6 points clear with 5 to go. More than a point a game is too much to catch up.

I wrote Liverpool off when they bottled it around January after having the chance to build a lead. At no point since then have I ever thought that Liverpool have a chance of winning the league. In fact, i've never spoken to or met anyone who thought they did either.

Most people I know reckoned it went from impossible to very unlikely when they beat United. Now it's less likely and they are running out of games. If I had one I'd not be too worried about putting my house on United winning it now.

I would not be surprised if Liverpool won all their remaining games this season.

But that still might not be good enough.

Agreed, I would like the Pool to win it, just for a change. But if you do can you keep all your celebrations on the various Pool sites and not on here please.

At least make sure that you beat anyone you play near us in the League please, thanks for the help.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Utd back in it with a dodgy penalty decision by Howard Webb. He's made a few bad ones recently. Effects of too many games perhaps?
