No, remember that Steven Gerrard said he helped Torres eliminate that habit.KeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab wrote:I agree with blurred. When he doesn't score his impact on a game is usually zero!
Diving, for one.
See, here is Gerrard showing Torres what NOT to do.

Back with all those posts that said we'd be out of the title race by Xmas? Or the ones that said we were out of it in January? Or February? Or after losing to Boro?CAPSLOCK wrote:Now then, wheres that league leaders thread
It's not over till the large lady starts warbling. We've just had our hardest game of the run-in and they've had their easiest. Two games against Hull and Toon at home should see 6 points, whereas you'd expect Spurs then Boro away to be somewhat more challenging for them (especially with a European game thrown in between them).
There's another twist or two left yet, I'd fancy.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aye, quite possibly. They're huge favourites and everyone knows it. The thing is they've been huge favourites since January, and we've been written off at least twice since then, but keep scrapping back. This weekend we play before them, so a win puts the pressure back on them before they meet Spurs at tea-time. Next weekend they play before us, so we'll know their result before we go out to play against the Toon... It's a funny old game.bobo the clown wrote:... correct. It is a funny old game but the problem now is you not only need a twist, but a full on 360 degree about turn, then you also need to hold your nerve.blurred wrote:Aye, quite possibly. But anyways, can you at least beat Newcastle?
That would be nice!
If we can't I'll be fairly inconsolable, to say the least! Yes, we need a big about-turn, but it's still there to fight for.BWFC_Insane wrote:It is a funny old game but the problem now is you not only need a twist, but a full on 360 degree about turn, then you also need to hold your nerve.

Most people I know reckoned it went from impossible to very unlikely when they beat United. Now it's less likely and they are running out of games. If I had one I'd not be too worried about putting my house on United winning it now.Tombwfc wrote:I wrote Liverpool off when they bottled it around January after having the chance to build a lead. At no point since then have I ever thought that Liverpool have a chance of winning the league. In fact, i've never spoken to or met anyone who thought they did either.

Agreed, I would like the Pool to win it, just for a change. But if you do can you keep all your celebrations on the various Pool sites and not on here please.blurred wrote:Back with all those posts that said we'd be out of the title race by Xmas? At least make sure that you beat anyone you play near us in the League please, thanks for the help.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED
