Apparently a journalist uncovered the source of the takeover bid, it all started from an email they received...............

" Dear Friends at Citeh,

Kindly accept my apology for sending unsolicited mail to you.
Although we never met before, I have every reason to believe that
you are a highly respected football club. Though, I do not know to what extent you are familiar with
events and fragile political situation in Thailand but it has formed
consistent headlines in the CNN, BBC news bulletins,

My name is Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, a Country in far away. My
Uncle is Creem Ov Sum Yung Guy. DEPUTY MINISTER OF NATIONAL
SECURITY in Thailand. He has been killed by my enemies.

Before he was killed, my uncle instructed me to escape with his
family to a hide out in shithole suberb of Manchester, and he confined
on me that he left some money in a Diplomatic Trust Company in
Abroad, (name withheld for security reasons) he handed me over a
certificate meant for a secret Deposit, which he made in the
Security Company. If you may ask why do I need a foreign assistance
or why can't I take the cash transfer and myself? The answer is that
there was an exclusion clause in the original agreement between the
company and my uncle which states unambiguously that 'nobody, not
even himself, can have access to the consignment in the company, and
it has to be transferred to a crap yet "massive" football club outside Thailand.
This was done because he envisaged his arrest and this clause were
inserted to prevent any seizure or infiltration of the fund.

My decision to contact you is therefore, informed by this and due to
my present social status and total ignorance of the business world.
I believe you will appreciate the enormity of trust I repose on you
by placing the fortunes of our family in your care. Permit me to
request that you should reassure me that you would not let me down
in any way. On my part, this is my assurance and guarantee to you.
In as much as you follow my instructions carefully, religiously and
promptly my guarantee of a hitch-free success remains unshakable. I
have contacted the Diplomatic Security Firm to confirm the deposit,
which is worth £50.5Million,(Twenty-One Million Five Hundred
Thousand Pounds Only) which I presumed my uncle made
from the purchase of arms and ammunitions for the Thai Army.

You will be given 80% of the total sum at the end of the
transaction. If you will be willing to assist us claim the money and
invest it in your most excellent football club. I want to assure you that all modalities
are in place and it is a risk free transaction. Kindly confirm in
your reply if you can come over to enable us conclude this
transaction. Kindly include your Private Telephone and Fax numbers
where you can always be reach, Your Residential or Company Address
to enable me send some other important information across to you.

This proposal is highly restricted and should be handled as an
urgent transaction requiring trust and Confidentiality.

PS. Get rid of that knob whos managing the team and try to get the fat bloke from down the road before I come."

Citeh have decided to put the whole episode behind them to concentrate on the "magic beans" deal they have been offered from Strangeways market........

Profile

City, with a far bigger fan base and profile than Blackburn and armed with the potential to launch a sustained European campaign, would be an obvious attraction for Hughes, 43, who is regarded as the top young manager in the country. (MEN)
Yeah right!

The staggering arrogance of Citeh ... fans & directors alike never ceases to amaze me.

A player kicks a ball straight & he's the "new Colin Bell".

They win again (rare, admittedly) & they're "on the way to Europe".

They get above 15th in the league & they're "en-route to their righful place"

Win 2 games & they are worried that their manager may be the next England manager.

They lose a game & it's suicide-alley & they want their manager sacked.

Upon even the faintest consideration of their manager leaving they start naming who they want ... & there are no holds barred. "Well have Sam Allardyce ... We'll have Sven G-E ... we'll have Mark Hughes ... we'll have Claudio Ranieri". Now it's the manager of Seville.

Pricks !!!

They really are a club in crisis. This takeover bid is just getting ridiculous. They should just feck it off and get on with getting a manager in. Ever day they mess about is a day wasted in preparation for the new season. They've lost the two best players, signed zero replacements, and have been left with a squad that resembles a relegation side.

The only thing they've got going for them is their youth academy. They seem to produce player after player; true, some don't quite make it in the premiership, but they're still bringing them through non-the-less.
