England under 21's

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

That said, i will never be unhappy to see Anton Ferdinand miss a penalty. Tosser.

True, true!

I'd have loved it if Carson had saved the penalty after Taylor limped one in! Just to wipe the smug arsed look of the Dutch coach!

I was listening on the way home from work, and all that I could make out was that basically the Dutch were playing some fantastic stuff, whereas our lot were just twatting it one downfield.
Oh, Stuart Pearce. I'm sure that this will have been mentioned elsewhere. However, if not, or even if so, let's just re-cap.
When he was first offered the job as Citeh Manager, he trotted out something along the lines of "I'm used to crawling under floorboards and stacking boxes in warehouses, and these people want me to just pick a football team? That's not a proper job, is it?!" Really, Stuart?
Next thing you know, not only does managing the massiffist club nearest to Grey Mare Lane Market prove to be such a piece of piss, that taking on the England under 21's as a little extra curricular activity is to be taken within one's stride also.
Now what we're hearing is a sacked Stuart Pearce trying to make out that the England U21 job has suddenly become a full-time appointment all by itself.

In all of this, the thing that saddens me the most is that as a player, I'd have to say that Stuart Pearce was one of my sporting heroes! This is a man that walked off the field of play with a broken leg :(
Yet now he just makes such an absolute tit of himself!
May the bridges I burn light your way

Bruce, the performance was much better than the one described on the radio

And in Steven Taylor, we found a new Stuart Pearce

Immense

If it was a film, I'd have said it was too far fetched

i do still enjoy the irony that pearce has put so much emphasis on the possibility of penalty shootouts throughout the last month.... and they've lost in a penalty shootout

Yeah Stuart Pearce has just been a plonker since becoming a manager.

He seems like someone that players would not like to play for, all his shouting and toughness, and his Man City team were just so boring to watch. 10 home goals all season is just unacceptable.
And then to take the England under 21 job whilst manager of Man City was just ridiculous, but to be honest it just showed how crap the FA were to offer him the job because he is just not good enough. He has nothing about him in terms of being a good manager. Infact its embarrassing when he runs on to the pitch to get the ball to speed things up.

Stuart Pearce you are the weakest link. Goodbye.

Epic game. Might have lost on penalties but they were the best penalties from an England team for ages. If it wasn't for Carson diving too early we could have come out on top.

I hope Mr David Bentley was watching, or was he too busy resting?

That was awesome. Our England seniors could learn a thing or two from their younger counterparts about how to take penalties.

We and indeed the Dutch made it look easy.

I was there for the England Serbia, England Holland, and Portugal Italy games. The Serb's are racists and UEFA will have a serious headache should they win. England Holland was an excellent game, always had an inevitability when it got to penalties (although when Carson saved for their third miss I thought we were going to win). Portugal Italy was very skillful, if a little dull at times.

Are you talking about the "movement" on the line? If so, then if he can get away with it then why not. Imo he won the shoot out for them, Carson guessed wrong too often.

The biggest villains in this competition were the Refs. Poor all tournament. Why didn't he have a word with the Dutch goalie? Also the farce of the Serbia game could have been avoided by strong refereeing. He ran away and hid! Another annoyance is that FIFA probably won't do a thing. Probably the ref will get promoted.

you're allowed to move on the line, as long as it's side to side.

i was talking more about his overall attitude and little weird dance move after he scored his penalty, though i also thought the line movement was shady, wasnt too clear on that rule

We just aren't very good.

Bentley and Agbonlahor came out as the winners from this shambles.
