Can't blame you, Francis
Lampard Junior turns down contract worth "in excess of" £121k per week, or £6.3m a year. Quite right Frank, you shouldn't get out of bed for that.

No, they deserve less on the grounds that they haven't performed, HP. As I've said before, football operates on the economics of the madhouse. Piss poor performance isn't penalised, it just means that those that have done no more than that that's expected of them get to claim even more. It's an absolute fecking nonsense. All footballer's pay should be heavily performance related, and as a mere punter that's shelling out a fair old whack of my income to fuel such lunacy, I for one am fecked off with it, and will from here on in be chipping in only as and when I feel that I might be onto something from which I might enjoy value.H. which bit of this was tough to read and comprehend...H. Pedersen wrote:It's a crazy amount but you have to consider what the players around him make. Ballack makes more than that despite being something of a flop at Stamford Bridge, presumably Shevchenko does as well. Doesn't Lampard deserve more than them?
"Top earner" - so more than anyone elseIt follows News of the World claims the Blues were willing to make him the top earner at Stamford Bridge.
The newspaper says the deal would have eclipsed the £121,000 a week given to Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Ballack.
"eclipsed" - ah that'll be the tough word, in this sentence it means "more than"
to make it easy, if Andriy and Michael each got $1, Frank would be getting a buck and a quarter. There, is that easier?
