There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

That is truly the funniest thing I've read all week!

Bellamy and West Ham are both complete failures, let's all laugh at them BOTH!

What I don't get is what he has actually done this season to have his value increased? What did LFC sign him for, £5mil? But was there a release clause involved...?

75 grand a week for Craig Bellamy.

That's not right.

My guess is the market dictates the price. 17mil for Darren Bent? Bellamy in comparison is prob worth that much

Firstly, as many Bolton fans have said regarding Diouf - "he might be a c*nt, but he's our c*nt..."

Secondly, he's on nowhere near £75k a week.

I'll go for Anton purely because it must be tempting.

We paid £6m for him as that was the release clause in his Blackburn contract. That was a steal and he is/was worth a couple more than that at the time, but Blackburn had to let him go. He's not done anything to augment his price, but he's not done anything to damage it really.

Also, don't forget two things - a) transfer fees are somewhat higher than average this year because of the new TV money, b) West Ham have a rich and desperate chairman, who's willing to throw cash at anyone.

Bent was reputedly offered wages around £80k a week, and we all know what Lucas Neill's earning there.

Nobody is on £75k at West Ham. Tevez is/was the only player who would have got that, had he stayed.
