I hope Red bulls tear those bastards apart. 11-0 New york.
Although realistically, given the fact that our worse goalkeeper is starting, Beckham will score like 5 goals. Feck.

Reyna has a groin injury, but Angel is playing.

Well, no good for NYRB so far... two assists for Beckham.

Angel has got one back though.

Mathis has just broken the all time record for metrostars goals. He has scored 45 goals for NY, breaking Geovanni's record. And what a day to do it.

Wow, what a game that was. Jozy Altidore, the 17 year old promising American made 2 fantastic goals, especially the second one with two crossovers and a shot. Angel also made two goals, one from a free kick, and one the game winner. Clint Mathis made a cracker of a goal, breaking the NY metrostars record of all time. This game was about 9 times more exciting then the bolton game.... at least I have SOMETHING to cheer about today.

When I used to play for Owd Smithillians we'd end up with scores like that, so when asked how we'd got on I'd whittle them down in order to garner credibility. "How did you get on?" "Oh we lost 3-1."

Pretty much everyone in the MLS plays football in the way that we are at the moment: decent going forward, but naive and disorganised at the back.

Were you there? I was in section 101 with the rest of the Empire Supporters Club. Best game I've ever seen in person!

No we're more about our team than Star Wars, but I'll bring it up next game.
