Worst Referee performance in years!

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Worst Referee performance in years!

Post by Soldier_Of_The_White_Army » Sun Aug 19, 2007 5:49 pm

Rob Styles has got to be the worst referee in the Premiership by a country mile. If anyone is watching the Chelsea Vs Liverpool match you will know what I mean.

He's booked everyone for anything, denied multiple obvious corners, booked players twice without sending them off and give the most laughable penalty ever seen!

The funny thing is, the managers will get fined if they said it like it is.

Fxcking outrageous

Aye, and Gerrard has just given a first class showing in irony by moaning about it in interview. Not that Gerrard would ever put pressure on referees to give him decisions, of course.

The young shaver that refed Pompey v us yesterday gave one of the worst showings that I've ever seen. That's not a complaint as such, he gave utterly appalling decisions in both directions!

Didn't he actually have a right old moan at Styles because Drogba had slid in a little to close to his broken pinky?

He was unmitigated shite. It was never a penalty. Some of the decisions he gave both ways were laughable. At least one or two blatent corners each way down at my end were given wrongly. I'm fairly sure he gave a freekick for Torres bringing down Pennant on the edge of the box (or vice versa). He booked Essien twice.

Just about everything that he could have done wrong, he did. Should get demoted for a few weeks.

EVEN FUNNIER.

Still, Torres looked your 'do nowt but score' type.

I don't think many people noticed this, but after he booked Essien for the second time (and he did!) he turned away.

Essien grabbed SWP and made him stand in his spot while he ran off. So when Syles turned back round it was SWP stood in front of him.

Cheeky twxt!

P.S. Naturally Styles didn't even notice Essien had lost a foot in height.

He denies it, but it was clear as day.

Well he booked him early on for a foul on Arbeloa, and then with about 10 mins to go he gave a freekick against Terry who'd gone up to remonstrate with Torres for going down too easily. The Chelsea players were incensed and he (Essien) grabbed the ref in the melée. Styles showed the card to Terry, and Essien was still moaning. He gave the ball to Torres, turned around and showed a card to Essien (stood right next to him) who put his head in his hands, gutted.

Except he didn't do that, apparently, and was showing the card to John Terry who was 30 yards away and to whom he'd already shown a yellow card...

If our team tried that, Hunt would grab hold of Gardner.....just to make it difficult to spot :D

Followed by the ref saying "HEY! Your not the one I booked! I clearly saw you pass a ball infield earlier!" :D
