I should think you are top of a group that contains somwhere from the Radio 4 shipping forecast!
Great win for your guys, I flicked over after we'd gone three up and France were really putting you under the cosh, so well done your boys.
Does anyone know when the last time that both England and Scotland qualified for the finals of a tournament?

We didn't qualify for that. You don't need an invite when the party's at your house.
Excellent win for the Scots, great news. Worried about those last three games though, especially given the ease of the French & Italians' next game.

permission to laugh at england when they fail to qualify from the easiest qualifiaction goup for euro 2008. If the english had been in our group(THE SCOTS) you would be in about 4th place in the table. So while u joke about scotland messing up, for us to even still be in contention is an amazing achievement and shows what can be achieved with a bit of team spirit, rather than just a gathering of pre-madonna so called superstars...

A valid and yet completely irrelevant point. Yes, I believe that England would have struggled if they were replaced with the Scots, and well done to them for their performances to date by the way. But they can't be in that position, because England are good enough to be seeded in the upper echelons of FIFA rankings, meaning they avoid some of the 'big guns'.

Aye, that's what I actually meant (sorry for the rubbishness, and cheers DSB). Which was the last competition that both England and Scotland qualified for the finals for via the qualification process?
