It Just Isn't the Liverpool Way

From The Daily Mail:

'Liverpool striker Fernando Torres says he has stopped diving - because skipper Steven Gerrard does not like cheats in his side.

'The Spanish star said: "Here, they're not going to whistle for anything if you fall over. There's no point feigning anything because referees are fooled less.

"Moreover, it's your own team-mates like Steven Gerrard who don't like you using those tricks."

Really? Would that be http://youtube.com/watch?v=ztWniTA0Gxk this Steven Gerrard? Or maybe this http://youtube.com/watch?v=L073tGdLETo& ... %20Andorra one?
Stolen.

Are refs gullible enough to bleive this PR stunt? As it's Liverpool, probably yes.

Good job its not ManUre or celtic - it'd be adopted into the (S)FA rulebook.

I can't believe you are suggesting something like that.Liverpool are teh heart and soul of English football, admired by all and the second club of everyone in the world, don't forget they have been the victim of every football tragedy and miscarriage of justice throughout history not to mention theit love for chickens. Just think how they suffered because of the Bradford fire and how their Birmingham 6 fans were wrongly accused of terorism, they now try and clean up the game and you suggest that this is a cynical PR stunt??You should be ashamed. Shame on you.

Sneaky tw*t.
Saw that, he just splayed his right leg toward the player like a new born giraffe. Scouse tw@ (like him when he plays for England tho)

Both through his diving and his attempt to influence the ref into upgrading the yellow he had in his hand to the red that emerged.

Everton harshly done by. Clattenberg = nice person.

Let's hope the FA do summat about Clattenburg, there was something very sinister about the way he changed the card as you say.

But also the nailed-on penalty when Carragher pulled Lescott to the ground

in fairness yes the referee appeared influenced, but i did think he made the correct decision in the end

and those everton claims for penalties only get given if the defending team is Bolton

I hope you mean in terms of the red, and not that it was a pen?

The more I see it the more it seems obvious to me that Gerrard moves his right leg out to the side to make sure there is contact.

That is cheating for me.

The more you see it? feck me, Batty. It's the most obvious bit of cheating that I've ever seen in my life. Yet then, the biggest wank-stain, the most self important cock-end in the history of the species Andy 'oooh, did ya see that' Gray pipes up with something along the lines of "It's two players coming together so in that case it's a penalty".

Absolutely sure, Dax. Although there was no contact between Friedel and Diuof, at least Friedel came across Diouf. Gerard on the other hand splays his legs under no challenge other than them both having an equal grip of each others shirts. No contest mate.

Diouf isn't a hypocrite, he admits diving.

Gerrard is a hypocrite, and that makes him despicable.

Rangers are the ones that pull all the strings in Scotland WA. Celtic only get helped if Rangers aren't unduly affected.
