Keegan appointed Newcastle manager

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I hope they fail, which will be a shame for Kev but I'd just love it if the Geordies fall flat on their faces with one of their gods at the helm

FOOOOOOOKING HELL!

What a joke of a club.

Sorry but appointing a man because he built a half decent team a decade ago but won fook all and since then has failed in virtually every football job he has had is a complete joke!

However, it will galvanise those geordie bastards in the short term and I fear the worst for Saturday!

Let's welcome him back in style. Two from Nolan and one each from Davo and Guthrie should do it.

Sorry to put a downer on all this but we may be in for a stuffing now. Geordies' hero in place as manager (again), players raise their game?
I'd rather have played them before this.

The ex-England coach was running his "Soccer Circus" in Glasgow after quitting his job at City in March 2005.

So he just hitches up the caravans and trundles down the A1 to the Land of the Fatbellies! Marvellous. :oyea:

I quite like Kevin Keegan, i'd hate him to be manager of my club, but he's top notch for comedy value.

We're going to get stuffed on Saturday though.

I presume Ashley was swayed by the promo video on the front page.

Looks like it's all set up for that.

Keegan was interviewed back in October. The BBC report of it was entitled "I will not manage again - Keegan". It also included the quote "I mean I haven't watched a game of football, I mean live, since my last game at Manchester City and I can't even remember what game that was now."

Great appointment - good luck Newcastle.
