Just heard on a website that sammy lee is favorite to become Assistant manager of leeds?
I'm moving this to 'Other football'

So ... though McAllister wanted him Sammy had to turn down the post (of, let's not underestimate this), #2 at Leeds United ... albeit a damaged Leeds United, because he's still negotiating his severance terms at Bolton ..."I did look to bring Sammy Lee in, but he's still negotiating with Bolton over his contract and that made the situation difficult. I told Sammy that I needed to get someone in straight away and he understood where I was coming from."
Re-interpreted, that means ... to take a post would reduce his compo.
Once again proving that you can take the lad out of souseland, but not the scouseland out of the lad.
He'd rather be signing on than moving on !!
