Champions League tonight
Bloody hell. Turkey's a bit of a world away from Gigg Lane eh?2107: GOAL Fenerbahce 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea should be home and dry by now but instead Fenerbahce are level. Colin Kazim-Richards, once of Bury, Brighton and Sheffield United, runs on to a ball over the top, takes a touch and powers it past Carlo Cudicini.
Fenerbahce 2-1 up now btw.

Aye, bet he's kicking himself at not being in our relegation dogfight...hisroyalgingerness wrote:aye Anelka's replacement. That's right, a club actually managed to replace him
Said former Wanderer got his 5 mins of Champs League action again
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Not seen it yet, have been relying on BBC text all night, though laddo on there has raved about it. Ironically it was he who scored the own goal!Bruce Rioja wrote:Just seen the highlights. Fenerbache's second goal - what a bloody strike!Verbal wrote: Fenerbahce 2-1 up now btw.

Without being an apologist for the Rzaziak signing, that was only Richard's second ever goal for Fenerbache (and Cuddicini went down waaaay too early for me) so he's hardly Pele and I very much doubt that many on here would've been jumping through hoops had we signed him.Matty-Sharples wrote:Fenabache replace Nicholas Anleka wiht Colin-Kazim Richards and is now scoring goals in the champions league.
We replaced Anelka with Gzergorz Rasiak ( Or how ever you spell it)
In other news: I await Blurred's verdit on the most blatant penalty that you'll see all season not being given against Kuyt?

I suspect if Kazim-Richards had still been at Sheff Utd and we'd signed him in January, the reaction would probably have been about the same as when we signed Rasiak.fatshaft wrote:I believe you spell it Gregorz ShiteiakMatty-Sharples wrote:Fenabache replace Nicholas Anleka wiht Colin-Kazim Richards and is now scoring goals in the champions league.

Bury P30 scored 1. Transfer fee to Brighton £250k
Brighton P43 scored 5. Transfer fee to Sheff £150k
Sheff Utd P27 scored 1. Transfer fee to Fenerbache £0 (I think it was a free)
I think you'll find that Fenerbahce signed either Kezman or Deivid to replace Anelka

Never mind that, sonny Jim. What about the penalty? Well?blurred wrote:Can't quite comprehend how unbelievably shite the Arsenal fans were last night - if they can't make any noise for a European Cup 1/4 final, when will they? I'd be embarrassed if I were them.

I know you have just been to the Emirates, but wasn't that statement just a little too Wengeresque?blurred wrote:Not seen it - was at the far end of the ground from us, so anything that happened down there I had a pretty shitty view of. Only got to bed at 4 and was in the office for 9 - hopefully see some highlights tonight.Bruce Rioja wrote:Never mind that, sonny Jim. What about the penalty? Well?

Can vaguely remember there being some clamour down that end of the ground when they got a corner, but no chance of knowing what was going on... Alcohol doesn't help the memory, either.
