Championship Play-offs
This is often billed as the top prize in football with a reported £40million windfall for the team who wins. Obviously Crystal Palace & Bristol City played today and city take the advantage into the second leg with their 2-1 victory. Hull and Watford play tomorrow lunchtime.
I'd like it to be Hull but I've a feeling that Watford will be in the Premiership next season.

Looker under 'Better bets than Raziak' and you'll find him towards the top of the list. Mind you, given that criteria you'll probably find Stumpy O'Legs McNolegs, last place in the Market Harborough half marathon on there too.hisroyalgingerness wrote:who's this windass bloke? seems to score a few. should we be interested?
I would say Bristol City but I don't recall us ever getting anything from Ashton Gate, and also, the rascals ruined my first ever trip to Wembley. As such I'd like Hull to come up, as much for any other reasons to see how Brownie gets on and to welcome Henrik back for a day.

My company office is situated in Market Harborough, so I expect a little bit more respect! I know where you're coming from though!Bruce Rioja wrote:Looker under 'Better bets than Raziak' and you'll find him towards the top of the list. Yeah, Bristol City major bogey side... but I saw us win 1-0 about twelve/fifteen years ago at Ashton gate, with a goal in the opening minutes by (maybe) Mark Patterson...Bruce Rioja wrote:Looker under 'Better bets than Raziak' and you'll find him towards the top of the list. cue 85 mins of 'we are the one and only wanderers...'
i think that might have been our only win at Ashton Gate since something like 1903...
I also saw a 0-0 draw midweek in League cup... Jeez, that was a thrill...
In those days I was working in Bristol quite often... And got to know some City and Rovers fans... Wouldn't mind them coming up - quite fancy a trip down there... See if we can do better this century than last...

Oh, quality call, Sir. Didn't he run for about 20/30 yards with it before sticking it into the bottom corner, or is memory having its way with me?William the White wrote:Yeah, Bristol City major bogey side... but I saw us win 1-0 about twelve/fifteen years ago at Ashton gate, with a goal in the opening minutes by (maybe) Mark Patterson...

You can come out with things like that, without the fear of getting stoned to death!
