I have no idea what 'Steiger' means in German... I suspect it's a boring as farmer/keeper, but if it did mean humper then yes...

If you put Steiger into one of the translation engines is comes up with foreman, in which case the closest translation would be pig-herd, I guess. However, The Observer today says the Steige comes from the Middle German 'Stige' meaning barn. So, his surname would then mean someone who lives in a barn with pigs, and probably sleeps with them...

For me an 'oxymoron' is a term that's used to express something by highlighting the exact opposite. Terribly good, splendidly poor, wise fool etc. These days the term 'oxymoron' just seems to be being used to describe an everyday contradiction.
