Moyes is off?

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Moyes is off?

Post by blurred » Fri Aug 01, 2008 2:39 pm

Betting has been suspended with just about all bookmakers that David Moyes will be the next Premiership manager to leave - he was pummelled in to massive odds-on prices on Betfair earlier, and bookies have stopped taking bets. Some serious rumours that he's offski.

Taking over from Benitez?

Interesting one, as I was talking to an Everton fan the other day with 'contacts' ( ) who says Moyes has two moods with his players "difficult" and "screaming raging temper".
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Read an article about him just having no money to spend.

Don't see why they'd want to lose him, he's been excellent for them.

That he has. A good all-round, no-nonsense manager.

I can see him taking over from Ferguson when he finally retires. Although I can't see him leaving the top job at a club like Everton to spend the next year or two shadowing Fergie in readiness to take over.......

Not really for the finishes he's had.

Off the top of my head I can think of Johnson, Yakubu, Jagielka and Lescott as over £5m signings. That's all.

All of which would fit nicely into our squad.

I'm under the impression that Jagielka cost £4 million. I'm under that impression because I almost cried when I realised that he was a player we missed out on him for such a low price.

And one that Sammy Lee really, really wanted, too.

I'd take Yobo.

I'll give you Beattie as a bad one.

Negotiating that new contract isn't he, so could walk if he reckons they undervalue him.

Problem being there's nowhere for him to go really, maybe Newcastle if Keegan quits..

Alan Johnston? He never played for Everton...

He would have to be mad... no money, unrealistic fans expectations, chairman looking to make a fast buck....ideal move for anybody really, not. :D

Allardyce will be combing his hair and ironing his shirt.

you'd think Moyes woould have managed to do that for himself at his age
