What a result that is. I'm not even really sure how it papers over the cracks of anything. The single objective for now is to qualify, and we've played two away games so far and won both at a canter.
Rooney in the second half was world class (that skill and pass for Walcotts third was unbelievable) and Walcott was deadly in front of goal (he's never a winger in a million years though).
All pretty rosy for now. People who make comparisons with Germany '01 as if it's a bad thing baffle me, i'd be quite happy with qualifying and reaching the QF stage.

Yes of course, we cant let a world class player such as Gerrard be in the team before people like Jermaine Jenas, David Beckham or Gareth Barry.CAPSLOCK wrote:Not only has that snivelling tw*t Carragher played his last game, Gerrard should be nowhere near the next team, either
Can only be good news

Gerrard has played a couple of decent games against the 'smaller' teams. Has he ever really excelled in an England shirt? Not to my recollection, or at least, not in a game where we haven't collectively destroyed the opponent.BwfcDan wrote:Yes of course, we cant let a world class player such as Gerrard be in the team before people like Jermaine Jenas, David Beckham or Gareth Barry.CAPSLOCK wrote:Not only has that snivelling tw*t Carragher played his last game, Gerrard should be nowhere near the next team, either
