Signing of the season so far...

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Early doors, but can't really knock either of those two call Dibs. Will be interesting to see how they both go when it gets a few degrees colder and a bit muddier etc.

Geovani's had a season in England on Zaki, so the smart money would be leaning towards him. I can see someone like Bosingwa or Deco galloping in front as the season goes on, though. Chelsea have been bloody good this season.

Aye Deco has looked good from what I've seen, which isn't much. I'm looking forward to seeing the aforementioned two when we play both clubs, winter matches as well IIRC, so good point Worhy.

I remember Elanos form taking a dip in December last year.

I suspect both will retreat into mediocrity as the season goes on but you can't argue with either right now.

Zaki from I am seen could be the real deal. He likes to get involved and doesn't seem to get intimidated, plus he can finish. I wish we had him.

Geovanni I am not sure how he will last. A couple fantastic goals though, which have helped Hull no end.

Deco I am still unconvinced. He seemed to play a smaller less impressive role in each game I saw. The first game he was pure class though. Just not sure how he will last the English weather.

Modric. He was fine until he was on the receiving end of his first English tackle, and not be be seen since.

Boswinga looks good to me so far.

His team are doing a good job of it though. Noticed last night they're on the same points as we are, despite many proclaiming them to be the Arsenal of the North a few weeks back.

Also, did anyone see Steve Bruce on MOTD? He made Paul Ince look rational and level headed as he tried to defend Valencia's two footed scissor lunge as 'arguable'.

They're an odd one, I too think they have a lively little team going on, but looking at it another way they did lose at home to Boro, nearly lost at home to Sunderland and soon could be accused of relying too much on one player for goals (us and Anelka comparison?). Their wins have come away at Hull in a bizarre way and at home to City who are of course an enigma of a team.

Interesting to see how they do though.

I wonder what will happen to Zaki in January. He's on loan at the moment so if someone comes in with a £20 million bid could his Egyptian club recall him from Wigan to sell him on?

Depends on the terms of the loan i spose.

His club have said today that they're going to be entering talks with City soon.

Aye and Benitez was gracious about it not being the turning point as well

honestly premier league managers, if i had a gun and 2 bulletts i wouldn't know which two to shoot

Wonder where Wigan would be without Zaki

Valencia is handy enough, bit enigmatic as well?

Zaki looked decent yesterday - sort of like a Heskey but with talent. He's playing for a contract, though, and I'd like to see if he can have the same hunger once he's landed a fat 80 grand a week in his sky rocket.
