The worse dive ever

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

The worse dive ever

Post by malcd1 » Sun Mar 15, 2009 4:36 pm

I don't think many people would of bothered to watch Match of the Day last night, but if you did you would of seen the worse dive ever. The culprit - Morten Gamst Pedersen of Blackburn.

The cheating b4stard even had a look to see where the referee was before throwing himself to the floor and claiming it should of been a penalty.

I like that one as it actually fooled Bennet. Diouf then has the cheek to take the pen himself, miss it and score the rebound. Brilliant.

Was I the only one who, in real time, genuinely thought that was a pen? It's quite a good dive actually.

Unfortunately, Mr Bennett has never forgiven us or Mr Diouf since.

No you're not. I watched that game on TV in a pub on the Blackburn/Bolton border. The first viewing looked nailed on. It's only the the shot from the side or behind the goal that reveals it to be the outrageous fake that it was.

There were mostly Bolton fans there with a handful from Blackburn. The after match discussion was highly entertaining.

Good grief, that's disgraceful.

It ranks about 80th in the worst ever - the other 79 or so belonging to Stephen Gerrard (who is a cheat & a disgrace (c)). This, Stevie Me apart, is as bad as it gets. It makes Diouff's look nailed-on. Interesting isn't it that the manager's the same for both cases !?!?

Did he get booked ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It's a shame to see someone with such a great name do such dastardly things.

I have to say that several of Senor Campo's dive-and-land-with-hands-on-ball numbers deserve an honourable mention on here.

Description : El Hadji Diouf shames himself, his club and all of soccer with his diving antics at Ewood Park in January 2005. Later his disgraceful manager tried to justify his shameful cheating.

That is now both funny and ironic.
