Nolan sends Newcastle down?

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Nolan sends Newcastle down?

Goal chalked off for pulling Schwarzers jersey. The boy will never learn, and now they are in the drop zone again.

I've not seen it, but presumably the foul was given because the shirt pull stopped Schwarzer from saving it, no? Thus, it wouldn't have been a goal either way.

Bar the two assists in their only win since, well, since about Allardyce's time...

Just realised, anybody above Hull is virtually safe.

Even if Newcastle win, Hull will get no more than a point from Utd and their goal difference will still probably be worse than Sunderland. Brom won't win two games so it's just really between Hull n Newcastle.

C'MON HULL

Just shows that moving from little old Bolton to a "big" club isn't as good as its cracked out to be. Hope they go down, Nolan and all.

Nolan lost us a few goals as well from his "fouls" on goalkeepers.
Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED

Oh aye cos he really sounded like he wanted that transfer

And f*ck me Nolan might of had his actions at corners interpreted differently by referees (personally I think a lot of the time it was a foul) but lets face it he wasn't doing it all on his own was he? Do you not think we worked on stuff like that in training?

Plus the guy scored in two wins at the theatre of shite; one the only goal

think its those kind of moments that will stand out for me, rather than the odd disallowed goal

I hope Toon go down but I hope Nolan finds himself at a better premiership club where he can find his form again, if its ever possible.

And the equiliser, where he blocked the defender to allow Taylor to score. Oddly, no-one was slating this tactic then, or indeed (as shown on MoTD) when he fouled Rob Green against West Ham last season, which kept us in the division. You win some you lose some.

And like I've said, if he fouls a goalkeeper, he's not cost anyone a goal, because (in the referees opinion) there wouldn't have been a goal if he wasn't fouling the goalkeeper.

I got to say, I can't see the continued attraction behind pointing out how good, bad or indifferent a Newcastle player is. He's moved on, I suspect so should we.

The rule that allows this sort of blatant obstruction (I never thought it right when he played for us, nor his deliberately standing offside at free kicks) is more to blame than Nolan. I'm still not convinced he did much wrong ( within the rules) yesterday. Any other time it would have been a cracking goal from Viduka and, even disliking the Toons, I can understand Shearer's frustration at such a critical time. Just being fair. It could have been us.

On a serious note, five kebab houses a week have closed in Bolton since he left us. Let's spare a thought for them, eh?

I hope he isn't suggesting Nolan is fat?

In an effort to end speculation on players being rested for the Hull City match, Sir Alex Ferguson has taken the unprecedented step of naming his starting eleven, a week ahead of the game.

GREGG
BRENNAN FOULKES PALLISTER IRWIN

SHARPE CHARLTON STILES GIGGS

ROONEY FERGUSON (SIR)

I'll have a punt on United at 3 nil

Anyone see Nolans glorious one-two with Martins? Could anyone in our team do that?

Not saying we should have kept Nolan, only that he certainly ain't as bad as people make out and the last few games for Newcastle has looked like he is getting some of his game back!
