Confederation Cup watch

Thought I'd start a thread to talent spot at the Confed Cup.

Just watching the replay of Italy v All Whites (Kiwis).

Anyone seen it? I'm Kiwi I reckon our good players are Smeltz (ST), Killen(ST), Lochhead (LB)and Glen Moss (GK). One for the future is target man Chris Woods - he's at WBA and played two prem games (as reserve) already at 17. Big and been around could be a good buy.

Not holding out a ton of hope for the USA in this one. We were dreadful in Costa Rica and only beat Honduras 2-1 at home. What can you expect when Benny "One Goal Wonder Washed Out At The Worst EPL Team Of All Time" Feilhaber is in the squad?

We needed to win that Italy game. It would have been a fluke but that's why we needed to grab it while we could. The Italians are so much more skilled and matched us for size which surprised me but it wasn't until Pirlo came on and started pulling strings that they had any penetration.

I think Spain will stuff us unless we get some corners- got 9 against Italy - and the Spaniards are much smaller. Then I think we'll fade the altitude was killing us, the All Whites aren't like the All Blacks they are essentially amateurs and not conditioned for the altitude. The World Cup could go to the fittest team.

Just watched a cracking game between Brazil and Egypt. 1-1 within the first ten minutes, 3-1 to Brazil at h-t. Egypt score two in two minutes to equalise before a last minute penalty made it 4-3 to Brazil. Mohamed Zidan looked excellent for Egypt.

Yeah really enjoyed the Brazil game, Aboutrika and Zidan looked very handy up front didn't they. Aboutrika the best African still in Africa isn't he, and unlike his Egyptian colleagues Mido and Zaki, is by all accounts one of the nicest blokes in football.

Currently watching USA! USA! v Italy. USA! USA! have just had two massive chances, and had two of the poorest finishes I have ever seen. This one's immering as well - could see it kicking off big style. Seems that USA! USA! haven't forgiven De Rossi for his act of thuggery in the World Cup.

Muamba connected with some of the ball during his efforts, didn't he?

Not sure that Brazil were taking the game to seriously, which made for a close and entertaining game to watch, but I don't believe that any of the Egypt players are that good and could hack it in the Premiership, now there were one or two Brazilians who looked handy, that Kaka lad for example :D could we get him you think?

Typical FIFA big country bullshit. Ricardo Clark sent off for tapping Gattuso on the shin, Grosso gets a yellow for elbowing Donovan in the face.

What's the deal with those horns? Are we going to put up with that shit during the WC too?

Possibly not - Fifa is considering banning them

Their parping can't be any worse than the commentators'

I watched NZ Vs South Africa last night, and barely noticed the hooters.

The commentators incessantly whining about the hooters fecked me right off though.

Since I live in the USA now I thought I should watch the USA - Brazil game.

The Americans seem to have gone backwards since the last WC (and that one didn't go too well either, but at least they made an honest try). Their off the ball movement and overall teamwork is truely dire.

Indeed - never noticed this before, but Landon is a right cheat. Sad to see.
