C**p mascotts

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Lol. Looks like an escapee from 'Top Cat' - anyone else old enough to remember that?

No. Just you.

The likes of me, and other regular posters such as officer dibble, are far too young.

I remember seeing Grimsby's mascot at Bolton and thought it looked like a prit-stick. Here it is in all its glory.

I'm way too young - I wish I were old enough though, because if he's anything like that mascot then surely he's the boss, he's a pip, he's the championship?

Contradiction, paradox even, but not an oxymoron.

And not only am I at 21 old enough to remember Top Cat, so is my 15 year old brother. It was still on up to a few years ago, and may even still be.

Back on topic that is a seriously pathetic mascot. And 'JJ and B'?! Why isn't the new one this:

Thank you, Pru. I'm sick of correcting people on this one. 'Terribly good' is an oxymoron.

A few years ago I'd nowt to do one Saturday afternoon, so, for the sheer hell of it I went watching Bury v Northampton at The Gigg.

About five minutes in and I end up being joined in the stand by the Bury mascot, Robbie The Bobby, who, sits himself down, pulls off his massive napper - thus revealing the old bloke inside, who then proceeded to put said head in a black bin bag, pull out a Briar and blaze it up.

All around (ok, nite quite all around) children's dreams were shattered.

Spurious at best Bruce. I know who the Macc Town Mascot is.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Last time i went to bury I won third prize in the half time draw. A football.

Fortunately not signed by the team.

Gave it to a kid three rows away.

It is indeed, but to quote the good folk of Websters Online Dictionary:

"The most common form of oxymoron involves an adjective-noun combination"

Quality (adjective) Mascot (noun).
