And so it shall remain, for a couple of weeks at least. Then when the dust has settled, a severance package has been agreed, a half arsed search for a manager has been completed, Pompey will decide that Grant was the best candidate all along, and up to the plate he shall step.

Probably why he got it in first about Portsmouth the other day. We knew he was poor before he arrived, I think only the most optomistic amongst us could say that he's proved otherwise.

They hardly sold all their players on the day he was appointed - all but one of Paul Harts wins came with a side comprising of the likes of James, Krancjar, Distin, Crouch, Pennant, Campbell, Johnson and Davis.

Some of Megson's victories will include Anelka, Diouf etc.

Bizarre - he can't be the Manager because his work permit isn't right, so he'll do everything a Manager does, but that's ok because he's not called "Manager"?
