No - that's Robert Green, isn't it?TANGODANCER wrote:Despite his faults, James deserves batter. He's not the worst keeper in the world.
I'm confused Tango. As I understand it there were other Clubs after him, but HE'S chosen Bristol City. He could have gone to Celtic...TANGODANCER wrote:Despite his faults, James deserves batter. He's not the worst keeper in the world.
Well, I'll admit I haven't followed events, but I'd have thought etc....Worthy4England wrote:I'm confused Tango. As I understand it there were other Clubs after him, but HE'S chosen Bristol City. I still haven't forgiven Gerry Gow for shattering my illusions about First Division football in 1978.William the White wrote:Bristol City might be worth a gamble - for the gamblers amongst us.
Ridiculous that a city the size of Bristol has only had a top flight side for four years.
On MotD as well. Belting shot though.Worthy4England wrote:I still haven't forgiven Gerry Gow for shattering my illusions about First Division football in 1978.William the White wrote:Bristol City might be worth a gamble - for the gamblers amongst us.

Yeah i've heard that but i live not far away from his and he must still be doing a good 2 and a 1/2 hour commute to Bristol one way maybe more like 3 and a 1/2 if its at 9am.Riviman wrote:From what I read James didn't want to move his family from their home in Devon, which rather limits the clubs that are within travelling distance. Ask 'em if they've ever thought they could improve their lot by amalgamating.General Mannerheim wrote:thsi dosent deserve its own thread, i was just wondering, who are the biggest club in Bristol?
I know City are generally more successful, play in a higher league, have the larger stadium etc
But in our office Rovers fans completely outnumber the City lot, granted many of them don’t go but the majority definitely favour the Rovers.
But last night, the cheer that went up when the announcer told us the Rovers score at Oxford told me that 90% of the 10k in the ground were City, which imo was a brilliant turnout for the U21 reserves.. in a friendly.. vs Uzbekistan!
i cant ask anyone here beacuse they are biased.
From the Rover and City fans I know, don't think this would go down well at all.Gary the Enfield wrote:Ask 'em if they've ever thought they could improve their lot by amalgamating.General Mannerheim wrote:thsi dosent deserve its own thread, i was just wondering, who are the biggest club in Bristol?
