England v France

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

England v France

Post by malcd1 » Sat Nov 13, 2010 6:23 pm

The squad for the upcoming England friendly is to be announced soon. It has been predicted on BBC 606 that Jay Boothroyd from Cardiff will be named in the Squad.

I just hope that it is not at the expense of SKD.

His Mrs doesn't seem to think he'll be in, reckons they'd "normally" (like it's a regular thing!) know by now

I thought he was solid again today, certainly his performances haven't done him any harm. If anything goes against it will be Capellos selection policy

I couldn't go or watch the game today. From what I have heard Capello was at the match today. Will his performance be enough to a) get in the squad and b) get a game?

Hope we lose 15 - 0 and Bothroyd scores 10 own goals!

Don't care now.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Let me get this right, then. Potato Head was at our place for the Spuds game - a game in which Davies is MotM by a country mile and in which you wouldn't know that Crouch was playing. Crouch is included and Davies isn't. Why did he bother turning up then? :conf:

Don't forget it was our pair of English centre halves who kept him quiet, and France's who Davo pissed all over!

I was sat watching this game in Belgium sinking a few afternoon brunes and was thinking exactly the same thing. Crouch couldn't get his long legs onto a couple of Bale's crosses and that was it. Davies was as effective as ever.

If the inclusion of Crouch on current form is baffling then Bothroyd's is simply ludicrous.

I'll still watch it out of peverse curiosity.

And with doubts in place over Carroll and Agbonlahor's fitness.......Carlton Cole.

I've no need to injest psychedelic drugs any more, the England manager is doing it for me!

To be fair Carlton has got 1 in 12 this season. Great effort that.

Our 4 England strikers (Bothroyd, Crouch, Agbonlahor and Cole) have 2 Premier League goals between them this season.

I'm glad in a way, because the dilemma of whether to watch of not remains removed

As dissapointed as I am in the selections there is something inherently wrong with this.
They're dirty, they're filthy, they're never gonna last.
