Sam for the chop?
Some, not all, on the Roverrrr's site BRFCS are calling for Allardyce's head after their humping in Stretford today. You'll love this comment from one of the more academically challenged hillbillys:
preferably one of those names being owen coyle, if anyone. the guy has proven he can keep a team competitive in the prem league playing good football, twice now. Also he has form for jumping ship halfway through a season to a rival, for greener grass. If venkys are really being coy about the funds available in jan and subsequent seasons then im sure he'd be tempted.
You couldn't make it up.

Re: Sam for the chop?
The calls have started, coupled with new owners who want a top 10 finish, he could be for the sack.
Be interseting to watch the odds on him.

Allardyce gets sacked with his team in 13th when new owners come in.
It would just be too perfect.

Of course this would be amazing, but it won't happen.Lord Kangana wrote:Please let it be Megson.

Because Megson's agent probably won't be part of the selection committee.
Re: Sam for the chop?
his agent wasnt part of the selection committee at bwfc.H. Pedersen wrote:

Wasn't his agent at the time.
Which of course means there was in no way a conflict of interestes.
Besides, if a certain manager hadn't proven himself such a cock, I doubt people would have cared.

Be careful that's what Burnley fans said about Coyle and Bolton!Prufrock wrote:They're unbelievable. Make Newcastle fans look level headed. Christ.

Depression is just a state of mind, supporting Bolton is also a state of mind hence supporting Bolton must be depressing QED
Re: Sam for the chop?
Don't think it is that outrageous to say that Bolton was a big step up from Burnley. If Coyle continues his miracles I am sure that some big clubs, certainly much bigger than Bolton will come in for our Coyle, and no doubt he will give it serious concideration. I do NOT believe that Blackburn is that bigger club though. That at best is a sideways move not a move up. Burnley fans were just upset at their loss and likely spouted some s&^t at the time without really thinking what there were saying. I can understand and accept that.FaninOz wrote:Be careful that's what Burnley fans said about Coyle and Bolton!Prufrock wrote:They're unbelievable. Make Newcastle fans look level headed. Christ.

Much as we'd not like to believe it, they have a larger ground, and might just have some investment coming in from their new owners.seanworth wrote:Don't think it is that outrageous to say that Bolton was a big step up from Burnley. Anyhow, I think he'd probably get a wing, rather than a chop...
Re: Sam for the chop?
Regardless if he has ambitions of managing a big club and he went to blackburn from us looking at that as a step up he wil be 90 before having a crack at a team like United.Worthy4England wrote:Much as we'd not like to believe it, they have a larger ground, and might just have some investment coming in from their new owners.seanworth wrote:Don't think it is that outrageous to say that Bolton was a big step up from Burnley. Re: Sam for the chop?
No he didn't. He went to Blackburn after his reputation was shredded at Newcastle. Which was only his "step up" after he originally turned them down thinking he'd get a transfer bonanza from us.seanworth wrote:Regardless if he has ambitions of managing a big club and he went to blackburn from us looking at that as a step up he wil be 90 before having a crack at a team like United.
Re: Sam for the chop?
I'm referring if Coyle went to Blackburn, not Big Sam. Think there has been some speculating going on by Blacburn fans if big sam gets the chop.KeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab wrote:No he didn't. Re: Sam for the chop?
I was listening to the wireless in the car earlier but only half caught this. However, apparently a no-tail that's involved with the takeover has said that they want to win football matches but they'd like them to be won in a certain manner, and that she was going to have a word with BSA about it.

... & yes, watching some bimbo explaining to Sam that, if he has to lose 7-1, could he try doing it in an entertaining manner would be worth the price of a hefty admission price.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
