That cut was pretty bad, but the pic that's doing the rounds is slightly midleading. It's the injury part shown within the circle/cross thing has been magnified to make it look like it's some kind of hideous open wound about 6 inches wide. If you look at the other pictures its pretty bad still, but not that bad.

Arsenal have well met their match in the diving olympics tonight. Touch and fall in agony football par excellence. Get your toe touched, go down grabbing your knee, jump for the ball and go down screaming holding your face. I suspect that may be his eventual destination... But not for a while yet... In the meantime I'd really like it if, next season, we found a way of taking the next step forward into playing football territory...

IMHO - Birmingham deserved their win in the League Cup
