Gatuso - Only a 4 match ban!
4 matches for a headbutt? The decision makes a mockery of the FIFA fair play strategy and the FA Respect campaign. I ref in 3 local leagues. A headbutt = a life ban in all of them. What does it say to kids who play the world over? We've got a group of young blokes who are practically untouchable and to whom the laws of the game and the law of the land just don't apply.
Rant over. So, 4 matches, fair or not?

I can't be the only one that would've liked to have seen Harry say to the scruffy c*nt "Fancy your chances with Joe Jordan? Meet us in the gym in 5 minutes".
May the bridges I burn light your way

And then for Gattuso to nice person him.
Yes.
Yes.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Bob - what leagues do you ref in? I've never, ever, ever known a player, manager or coach get done sine die for violent conduct. I have for a manager who, over the years, has managed over 20 cases of violent conduct - the last of which was administered to a spectator. But never for a headbutt that didn't even register with the victim.
While I appreciate that such acts of violence shouldn't be seen on the pitch, I feel Gattuso's been given the punishment to fit the crime.

Plenty got Sine Die in "pub leagues" I used to play in - but a while ago. Anything involving physically violent interaction with speccys, non-playing officials etc. you could almost guarantee it.KeeeeeeeBaaaaaaab wrote:Bob - what leagues do you ref in? Similar to the Cantona thing (but not to the same extent), I'm in agreement with Bob. Should be the last match you play in.
