Can the Shakers do it?...do we care?

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

I wouldn't put it past them, given recent history, to f*ck it up even from here.

But it'd be nice to see them finally promoted.

Couldn't care less to be honest, they have some real chip on their shoulders and I think it's funnier to ignore them
Pfffft.

Be nice to see them go up just for the pleasure of them going down again next year.

Respectable 6th in the Ryman Premier.

As a boy my mate's Dad used to take us to watch Bury when our lot were away. As such, I've generally followed how they're getting on. Except, of course, for when we were playing them on an equal footing (or even being a division below them!).

Always used to like Bury as a kid and my old man took me there a few times when Wanderers were away. Then as an adult I got a job in Bury and couldn't believe how much they hated us. I had no idea. Since then, I'd quite happily watch them fail to go up and then close down through bankruptcy. Tossers.

Beat first place Chesterfield 3-2 to seal promotion. Now only two points behind them with two games left...

Great stuff by Bury! I might pop down to Gigg Lane next season to shout abuse at Meggo.

Good on 'em. Pity for Brownie though, hoped they'd stay up.

As an aside, Accrington currently relatively comfortably in the League 2 playoffs - promotion for them too?

Oh, and my dad used to buy pigs off of John Forrest. I wonder how many current professional footballers supplement their incomes by keeping farrowing middle whites? Not many, I'd have thought. :?

I'm sure Wayne Entwistle had a business flogging chicken while he was at Bury
