The sight of a three-quarter full Kop of schoolchildren on those Europa League Group Stage nights is something to behold...Bruce Rioja wrote:It doesn't matter who's in charge. Anfield is EXTRA special on those European nights! Don't forget that.
I'm just glad we're back in it this season, might get a nice trip or two out of it.

Well they speak a foreign language and I probably need my jabs before going there, so it's kind of like a trip abroad...

The difference between the two jobs is the Liverpool manager is expected to win every game. It is different pressure being at the bottom than the top. Martinez was not expected to win even a third of the games at Wigan.BWFC_Insane wrote:Is keeping Wigan in the premiership as hard as getting Liverpool a top 4 spot?bobo the clown wrote:This IS the same Snr. I'd say yes.
Its as much of an achievement.
Do not trust atoms. They make up everything.

And I think the pressure to stay up is probably harder to handle when you're managing lesser players with smaller budgets....
Anyway, looks like its Rodgers....

If we weren't relegated this season I wouldn't have been surprised with Swansea wanted Coyle, all that 'young player and good passing football'

I'm rather hoping they're the sort of ambitious Premier League Club that might still be interested...Relentless09 wrote:If we weren't relegated this season I wouldn't have been surprised with Swansea wanted Coyle, all that 'young player and good passing football'

Seen it so many times.. newly promoted team has a great first season, manager gets tipped for the Brazil job.. then they get found out and drop like a stone.
Well done Liverpool on another shocking managerial appointment
