Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
I must say that I recall Liverpool fans being in the ESL a number of occasions and celebrating a goal with the result being Bolton fans getting snarly and finger pointing and demanding the Red Shite get booted out.
It's pretty unpleasant.
That said, civilised supporters who, whilst sitting in an opposition area, merely do a subdued "yay" wouldn't get that attention.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Indeed. Whenever Everton have scored at The Bok it's always amused me to see home fans spin their heads, owl-like, through 360 to see who they can get chucked out.
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
There were loads in for the cup game last year, chatted to a group at half time, pleasant enough blokes. Doesn't bother me as long as people don't take the piss. First game I remember going to at Burnden with my Grandma, we sat next to a Newcastle fan who politely applauded our 3 goals against his team, all very civilised.Bruce Rioja wrote:Indeed. Soem suited bloke was sitting with a woman in ESL this season against Leeds this season and one of our thugs had a massive go at him (verbally). I didn't even notice him celebrate. Embarrassing.

I'll say this, they're the team to watch for entertaining football. I'm watching Liverpool vs Swansea and what a game!
It's had everything, the only thing that's not happened is Swansea bringing on..........................oh

Interesting article about Daniel Sturridge yesterday.

Nice to see he still has fond memories of his time with us.
"I wanted to learn from Didier Drogba and Nico Anelka. I thought when Didier moved on, I would be next in line but it wasn't the case. In the end I begged Ron Gourlay [Chelsea's chief executive] to let me join Bolton on loan. At Bolton, Owen Coyle changed my life completely. I was in the first team, playing centre-forward and had a chance to show the world how I could play. I will always be thankful to Owen and Bolton for what they did for me."

Just having a look back to June 2012 when Rogers was appointed. Some measure of derision but:

I still think they're capable of fcuking it up but it's not looking likely.

I really hope they feck it up but other teams seemingly want to feck it up to gift it to them.

Yep. Y'know, if the game wasn't so clean you'd wonder whether it wasn't all fixed.jaffka wrote:I really hope they feck it up but other teams seemingly want to feck it up to gift it to them.

It does seem like that. It's going to be unbearable, fcking unbearable.bobo the clown wrote:Yep. Y'know, if the game wasn't so clean you'd wonder whether it wasn't all fixed.jaffka wrote:I really hope they feck it up but other teams seemingly want to feck it up to gift it to them.
However, that Sterling is good. Hopefully he will help England rise above poor to adequately but ultimately disappointingly mediocre in the summer.

Amusing to think that there were rumours that we were trying to get him on loan not long ago. Always seemed unlikely.BWFC_Insane wrote:It does seem like that. The emergence of a young player does slightly soften the blow of England's inevitable demise I suppose.

I'm developing a slight man-crush on Tony Pulis.

Clapton gets the credit surely! Using my words against Liverpool. Bravo sir! Is what I would have wanted.thebish wrote:clapton is god wrote:Just having a look back to June 2012 when Rogers was appointed. Some measure of derision but:
