Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
That particulary one eyed view of the world can only come from someone who doesn't regularly sup in pubs full of red shite. Since rednose fckued off, it's been bliss. They could at least double their gobshitery from the wonderful level of quiet that's been around the last couple of seasons. The only thing that's sustaining then as "the greatest" is their prem titles. I can only see Liverpool who could remove that over the medium term.

When I first started work my boss had a newspaper interview with Bryan Robson pinned up in the office. It was 1985 and the headline was
"Wouldn't it be something if next year I could win the league with United and the world cup with England?"
Younger folk would find it hard to believe now that Utd winning the league was the more preposterous notion of the two!!
I could easily live with 20 years of scouse domination over those tossers again
I was born in Bolton, Lancashire.

bobo basically chooses to live in a scouse-welsh sandwich... I think he protests too much!
me - I got the feck as far away from the scouse and the rags as I could... bliss!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Bobo's nailed it. I couldn't despise United any more than I already do, so they can go off and win another 700 titles for all I care.
But wishing success on those sanctimonious tragedy loving humourless wankers from the arse end of the River Mersey...give your head a shake.
Although it would be piss funny if they won the title this year just to see the look on Steven Gerrard's face.

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
I do hope so. He was only there for six months and they had to pay him £7.3m to get shot. I imagine/hope that they'll be paying Rodgers a similar amount.thebish wrote:^ really??

Re: Liverpool laughing stocks?
Apparently as much as £14m to pay off Rogers and his team. He only signed a new contract last season. The club binned his coaching team ... at considerable cost ... in the summer. Then new ones came in on 3yr contracts.Bruce Rioja wrote:I do hope so. He was only there for six months and they had to pay him £7.3m to get shot. No issue with Ings .... apart from who his employers are. But add this to the young defender declared out for the season yesterday and it's not starting well for Herr Klopp.

Shame for Ings who I really rate. The picture they've used to illustrate the story is perfect though

Spurs 0 - 0 Liverpool. Klopp's highly anticipated first game.

That's my point. They are overpaying to a ludicrous extent.

Gutted he's gone there. Fear he'll be successful but either way it's going to be unbearable. Piece on him on FF today, some hairdresser bint saying "ey, if he thought the Dortmund fans were good he ain't seen nottin ye'".
