Anyone been watching? Have to confess i haven't really seen anything, due to being pretty busy at the moment, but we beat Japan and are into the quarters. Wonder if England can go all the way?

Been watching our Matildas as I'm a creature of the nightshift anyway. The winner of Yanks/Brazil will do your lot in the Semis, we're going out at Sweden's hands the round before.

I've managed to see precisely nothing of it & that, tbh, is a little more than I'd prefer.

Really, I just have no interest whatsoever.

It's not the World Cup is it. To be fair, the outfield players look competent and have done for a while (for some reason Ive ended up watching a fair bit of womens football over the last few years), but its the goalkeepers that consistently let the game down - they are shocking. Basic catches missed, zero command of their area and pitiful attempts at dives. It spoils it!

there was talk about making the goals smaller for womens football, i dunno if it ever happened? Lets face it, the majority of female keepers must be far shorter then even the smallest male ones which can't help.

Equality, love. Equality.
It wouldn't be fair if they made the women's game easier, would it? Plus, it'd start off with smaller goals and before you know it they'll be awarding extra points for having great shoes or a really neat hairstyle. Slippery slope.

Swings and roundabouts though, isn't it? Making the goals smaller might make it easier for female goalkeepers then male ones, but it would make it more difficult for female strikers to find the net wouldn't it?

I do like the extra points for cool hairstyles idea though! ;) I often used to wear mine in a couple of plaits when i played.

I can't believe that SBS are only broadcasting the Australian Matches.

It should be all of them.

Haven't watched any of it anyway.
but if every match was on I'd try to watch some

For me, the advantageous thing women's football has over the men's is that you can crack one off whist watching without feeling all confused.

I don't know, Fernando Torres always left me unsure as to whether it was OK to knock one out, it's very feminine
