Ambitious Blackburn

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

From the higlights I've seen of their games they dont look to have played that badly. Certainly the Wolves & Everton games they appeared to create quite a few chances. Perhaps our resident Rover can enlighten us?

An agent on twitter pretty much saying Rovers are fecked.

Suspicious payments/transfers by the looks of things.

At least 2 of their recent transfers, the agents fees have been upwards of three times the fee paid to the club for the player.

Read yesterday that Kean's sanctioned a deal in which the agent earned £1.6m from a £400k player.

He isn't, but I hope they give him lots of time.

I think he may have been referring to their situation being as bad as ours.

They're a full point in front of us! On the other side of the coin, they still have 5 of last year's top 6 to play, we have 2...

Jensen leaving the dingles, maybe Kean to follow. Rumour is O'leary to take over:
Blackburn Rovers assistant manager John Jensen is to leave Ewood Park.

The 46-year-old former Arsenal and Denmark midfielder joined manager Steve Kean's coaching staff in January.

A Rovers statement read: "The club would like to thank John for his efforts over the past nine months and wish him all the best for the future."

Blackburn are 18th in the Premier League table, having picked up only four points from their opening six games of the season.

Jensen has previously had spells in charge of Danish clubs Herfolge BK and Randers, as well as being assistant to Michael Laudrup with both the Denmark national team and Spanish side Getafe.

When he joined Rovers, initially on a six-month deal, he became Kean's first appointment after the Scot was elevated to manager following the departure of Sam Allardyce.

Goal shy with the GunnersContinue reading the main story
Jensen, who scored the winner for Denmark in the 1992 European Championship final, made 138 appearances for Arsenal but only managed to score one goal
Rovers avoided relegation from the Premier League on the final day of last season and Jensen signed a contract extension in May.

However, Blackburn have endured a troubled start to this campaign and some fans staged a demonstration against Kean before the fixture against Arsenal, a game that Rovers went on to win 4-3 to record their only league win of the season so far.

Victory over Leyton Orient gave Blackburn progression to the fourth round of the Carling Cup, but a 3-1 defeat at Newcastle on Saturday left them in the Premier League relegation zone.

I suspect Kean would sacifice anyone to save his own useless skin.

Rovers fans hatred of Kean seems to have reached if not surpassed Megsonesque levels.

The appointment of the next assistant would seem key - if it's a Kean man then he stays but a delay could see a clean sweep with the top job becoming vacant. City game today at Ewood and most are expecting a tonking. Should make for interesting viewing if they lose though better for us if he keeps his job.

Kean in!
