Workshy Carlos Tevez

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Workshy Carlos Tevez

Post by P.O.S. » Tue Sep 27, 2011 9:45 pm

So, reports suggest Carlos Tevez refused to come off the bench tonight for City against Bayern. Much more to the story I expect, but that's a complete joke isnt it.

I saw that on BBC sport - how much is he getting paid a week?! Presumably he will be fined? Wonder how much...

City fans calling Five Live saying they still want Tevez to play for them and score goals for them. Cant get my head round that, football dies a little but more if they let someone like that play for them again.

Mate of mine whos a City fan putting the blame on Mancini for using his petty differences with Tevez to the detriment of City. Come off it!

Must confess to not following the ins and outs of this but hasn't this unrest been going on a little while? You'd think they'd sort things through before trying to play him?

To be fair, the balance has now swung to people wanting him out. First couple of callers supported Tevez but not anymore.

Mancini says hes finished with Tevez. Lets see what happens next

Lets get him on loan.

Surely if he refuses to play he is in breach of contract and could be sued for punitive damages. If Mancini fines him a couple of weeks pay it's a laugh. Start him next Prem game and sub him after three minutes so the fans can have a go at him. On the other hand he always seems to come up smelling of bullshit. 8)

City won't let him to prove a point for the moment. I'd say they'll loan him til christmas and then cut loose.

I've not seen him too often but what little I have seen impressed upon me an opinion of a surly, spoiled brat. This effort, if true, reinforces that. Imagine one of your more skilled employees refusing a request to undertake a normal and expected task, an agreed part of the employment 'contract'! If someone did that to me he'd be out the door as soon as the paperwork was completed.

Just on SSN now, statement from Tevez saying he didn't refuse to play.

Which means he's calling Mancini a liar. That and he's on £250,000 a week. Brilliant.

Anyway, whatever the real story is and I doubt we'll ever know the truth; it couldn't happen to a nicer club.

1) City can't loan him (apart from to the lower leagues) until January.

2) This is where clubs should stick together and show some solidarity and refuse to offer Tevez a deal. Football would be more credible then.

3) It would never happen but if we went for Tevez Id return my season ticket straight away. Would rather have Joey Barton who is at least passionate about the game!
