Harry Redknapp: I’m proud we’ve not spent like Man City
HARRY REDKNAPP has taunted Spurs' title rivals by claiming: We haven't bought our success like you.
Redknapp cranked up the tension ahead of their clash with megabucks Manchester City and Roberto Mancini by revealing he is "proud" of building his team without breaking the bank.
He said: "City are where they are because of Sheikh Mansour and Chelsea thanks to Roman Abramovich.
"We have not done it that way and it makes me proud.
"You don't have to go out and spend fortunes to find good players."
The Etihad showdown on Sunday week is now a key fixture in the title race with Spurs just three points behind wobbling City.
Redknapp added: "Spurs are not third in the Premier League because someone has walked through the door at White Hart Lane and slapped a bundle of money on my desk.
"City can pay players £200,000 a week, it's unbelievable.
"Man Utd wanted Samir Nasri but he blew them out for City.
"The people running Spurs have invested wisely.
"Some of the players we brought in raised eyebrows, like Younes Kaboul, but he's made excellent progress. Hopefully it is coming together now."
Businesswoman of the year.

I gave you more credit Bobo! Tomorrow will be when he actually realises they are missing, thus needing at least an adjournment, if not the whole thing dismissed!

Anyone think the greedy bastard might be a tad worried?!
Then again, he's the patron saint of Southern England and every journo's favourite big-mouth, so maybe not.

From the reports he bloody should be worried.

Re: Twitching Harry
Harry Redknapp has fought back tears in court as he fiercely denied telling his tax evasion trial "a pack of lies". The football boss shouted from the witness box at prosecutor John Black QC: "You think I put my hand on the bible and told lies? That's an insult, Mr Black, that's an insult." Bespectacled Redknapp shook his head as Mr Black ended his cross-examination at Southwark Crown Court, in London, by saying: "I suggest you have been telling the court a pack of lies." With a voice trembling with emotion, Redknapp replied: "Everything I have told you is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God."
Both Redknapp, 64, and co-defendant Milan Mandaric, 73, deny two counts of cheating the public revenue through "bungs" worth £189,000 in a Monaco bank account. As reported on MSN News.
He'll be fighting back the tears and trembling with emotion if he's playing Find The Soap with Big Leroy next week.
He laaarves his mavver, you know. Cockney geezer and salt of the earth.

Awww, we had a golden retriever called Rosie. I don't think she ever pulled a bank job but she did write like a two year old.

I'd be amazed if he didn't get away with it, all those dodgy transfer fee's can pay for the best lawyers around.Gooner Girl wrote:Bet he gets away with it...jaffka wrote:Looking forward to seeing what the juries decision is.
He took a chunk of the Crouch fee when he went to Villa too, but only 5% as opposed to 10%, what a saint.
