'Appy 'Arry nailed on for manager.
And the England circus carries on.

Re: Capello has resigned
despite it being 'Arry - and all that - I actually thinking he'll do 100x the job that Capello did (and hopefully have a bit of a proper clearout - ie. dumping Terry)Annoyed Grunt wrote:'Appy 'Arry nailed on for manager.

that said - does he really want it? it's a very different job from club management and the day-to-day interaction with players...

Well, I'm glad because I think he's working beyond his payscale, but I'll be proper miffed if the FA have paid him off. Didn't he renegotiate his deal immediately prior to the worst World Cup campaign in living memory?

Re: Capello has resigned
Deleted my post so not too many running. I wonder if 'Arry'll get the job? He can't read or write and doesn't have a good command of the English language, thus eminently qualified. The FA should be asked who manages the team and why do we actually need a manager.? Oh, well. Onwards and downwards...unless Big Sam is in the frame.
Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

Oh, I've no doubts he'll do a better job than Capello. Apparently he has said it would be the greatest thing he could do, to manage England.thebish wrote:despite it being 'Arry - and all that - I actually thinking he'll do 100x the job that Capello did (and hopefully have a bit of a proper clearout - ie. dumping Terry)Annoyed Grunt wrote:'Appy 'Arry nailed on for manager.

He could do it for the Euro's.......season will have finished then.

Guess it gave him a convenient way to get out of the kitchen.

Mate of mine was at a dinner with Big Sam, Phil G and their wives just after he'd got the bum's rush from the FA. BSA's Mrs was telling him that he was absolutely dumbstruck that he didn't get the gig. I never knew that it had effected him quite so badly.Gravedigger wrote:unless Big Sam is in the frame.

Re: Capello has resigned
Good. He should ;
a). never have been appointed
b). have been booted out after the World Cup fiasco.
Now fck-off Capello & don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.
Best thing John Terry's ever achieved.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I could be hallucinating on Mexican lager but I'm sure I just heard Mike 'A Horse, A Horse' Ingham on R5 Live saying that Old Twitchy could do it for a couple of years and then hand over to a younger manager that he'd have groomed for the job, in particular Alan Shearer.

Really? Was obvious the man was gutted by it. He lost interest in us after that.Bruce Rioja wrote:Mate of mine was at a dinner with Big Sam, Phil G and their wives just after he'd got the bum's rush from the FA. He was never going to get it, but someone must have convinced him he would.
Anyway, Hodgson for England job, might give West Brom a chance of going down!

Totally agree tho I wonder if he will be the first part time England manager.Cant see him wanting to leave spurs before the end of the season.thebish wrote:despite it being 'Arry - and all that - I actually thinking he'll do 100x the job that Capello did (and hopefully have a bit of a proper clearout - ie. dumping Terry)Annoyed Grunt wrote:'Appy 'Arry nailed on for manager.

Re: Capello has resigned
England nailed on for the Euro 2012 now.
Just watch the media have a feeding frenzy over Harry. They will build him up to be the best manager in the world only to call for his head if we don't win it. "Redknapp the Radish has to go NOW!!"
I hope he gets the England job but I just don't want all the bullshit that goes with it (Of course we will).

I understand Chelsea have offered the services of AVB to the FA.
