Re: Tonight's Football
Talk about long term forecasting, Prufrock, that is a masterful critique of English football. Crikey, I'm not confident about predicting the weather beyond a few days.

Re: Tonight's Football
Montenegro 1 England 5. One down pretty quickly to a good opportunist goal acted as a wake-up call. 5-1 it finished. Plenty encouragement and a few careless moments that could have cost us. Their left side pair were pretty rapid, played well, but it wasn't too long before the clogging, play-acting and cynical fouling started. Good to see our young lads refusing to be bullied and intimidated by of couple of walking tombstones in red shirts. Sterling and Hudson Odoi ruled the wide areas, Kane was efficient as ever and Barclay sharp as a tack. We looked pretty solid at the back and Maguire was a rock in the middle of defence. All the goals were good and only one from a set piece (a good headed one at that from Keane). A pretty impressive win but still too early to see where we'll be later on. All in all, a good display although it ended with a few yellow cards, Rose, Barclay and Henderson all collecting for us..

Re: Tonight's Football
Needed to see some football amongst all the financial fandango stuff, so watching Barca v Villareal in La Liga on I.T.V 4. 2-1 to Barca at half time but they're not having it all their own way. Young kid called Chuckwueze (sp?) 19 is a real flyer. Barca's goalie had to make two cracking saves in the first 10 mins. Good stuff. Messi is still on the bench so far. A ding donger....
Finished 4-4 after Villareal being 4-2 up. Messi an amazing free kick (again) and Suarez lashed one home in extra time just as the ref was getting ready to blow. Good Spanish stuff, 47 yellow cards and one red and some terrific football.

England women v Canada. 7-15 tonight on T.V. Do for me, I follow it and enjoy it. At least the T.V or IT isn't likely to break down or......hello....hello?

Re: Tonight's Football
Phil Neville's England Women beat Spain 2-1 in a friendly last night despite having a few good players unavailable through injury (Millie, Bright, captain Steph Hughton, Fran Kirby etc).... The goals scored put our play (Bolton) to shame. I reckon they'd hammer the Superwhites....Jill Scott is the best box to box player of the lot and I'd have a few of them play in place of some of ours.

Wayne Hennessey.
Bravo. What a legal team he must have.

Incredible. Reckon they were nervous of seeming out of touch. "We just don't know know what it's like for these poor people. Not everyone has the same opportunities that we did, you know, to have heard of Hitler".
Was a 2:1 split decision too. The "1"s reaction to the other 2 must have been "you f*cking what?!".

Seriously, where dose this leave initiatives such as the Kick it Out campaign? I've honestly never heard a load of bollocks quite like it.

Do you think Klopp might be interested in Parkinson's job. On a charity basis, maybe...

Re: Tonight's Football
I see the fella that came close to returning BWFC to the promised land, Craig Dawson, missed out last night. Despite scoring with his head from a set piece, sound familiar?

The football gods have really kicked us in the knackers this year. Wolves, Bury and the Wirral rats all having good years. What a shitty season
