Off to watch Arsenal women tomorrow. They’ve sold out the Emirates - 60k tickets. Fantastic for women’s football.
Re: Tonight's Football

Re: Tonight's Football
Big Sam to Leeds with 4 games to go. Bonkers, but understandable. One win for any of the threatened sides could do it. I think Leeds and Everton will go though.

I’m not sure it is understandable. I mean Allardyce is a better manager than anyone Leeds have had this season, and by some distance.
But so I see him as a man to lift Leeds for four games? Not really. He needs to build that system and organisation and that won’t happen overnight. Maybe it will work I don’t know. But feels too late to me.

Re: Tonight's Football
^ that was my thought. 8 or 9 games to go I could see him doing it, in the same way Warnock appears to have done it for Huddersfield. Too little too late and I suspect Leeds will be this seasons security blanket for Everton.
I'd love to see Leeds give Sam a 3 year deal though and see if he could build something sustainable there.

Understandable choice if that's what you're going to do I mean. Bonkers for the belated timing.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Tue May 02, 2023 11:50 amI’m not sure it is understandable. I mean Allardyce is a better manager than anyone Leeds have had this season, and by some distance.

Imagine if they stay up at Everton's expense!
Was kind of hoping they'd come down and we'd play them since I live 10 mins from elland rd. Big ask but would be a nice fixture.

Re: Tonight's Football
Just bizarre - first 4 games in April, they were beaten 4-1 by Arsenal, 5-1 by Palace, 6-1 by Liverpool and in between managed a 2-1 win v Forest, and they wait until now to figure out they might have a bit of a defensive problem?
Re: Tonight's Football
Tottenham at home on the last day is their big chance at home. Win that and it might be enough given the dire form and tough fixtures of others down there. That's gives Sam a few weeks and 3 games to work on stuff.
Still think they're going.

Not in the "screamer" category, but what a goal from Gundogan...
Re: Tonight's Football
Tough to say any of city's players are "underrated" but if any are it's him. Good assist and then a superb free kick as well.

Better than any screamer I’d say. Love those sorts of goals. Always loved the likes of Bergkamp for their amazing touch in tight areas.Worthy4England wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2023 2:52 pmNot in the "screamer" category, but what a goal from Gundogan...

Whatever I might have thought, it wasn't 4-0 Citeh...
Re: Tonight's Football
£40 to Pru
Right up there with the best teams there have ever been. That first half was ridiculous.
Would be very very funny if they do the treble, particularly given the FA cup final

Re: Tonight's Football
3 Rúben Dias
5 Stones
8 Gündogan
9 Haaland
10 Grealish
16 Rodri
17 De Bruyne
20 Bernardo Silva
31 Ederson
How funny is City's bench...
Edit: If I was Chelsea, not sure I'd be flying into these tackles either...any City players needing to go off injured probably isn't going to help 'em much...
