Still trying to work out if Moldova are not up to much or if our lot are actually playing well. Have to say their no 16 ( orange boots) impresses muchly. He's everywhere and puts a great cross in. Young Axeblade's having a cracker for us and were well in charge at half-time. We actually could have had five or six.

Got one eye on it but been impressed with Cleverly's range of passing and his energy. 3 goals away at International level is always good.

5-0. Opposition not exactly top class. Passed the ball about well but nothing up front. Our last was a wild deflection but it hit an arm anyway and would have been a penalty. Still some to go but improving by the game. Terry defended well enough, but some of his passing was woeful at times. Lampard had a good game and scored two so he'll be happy enough.

Hope is what keeps us going.

+1 Cleverly was always about wanting the ball, wish we had a player like that!Harry Genshaw wrote:Got one eye on it but been impressed with Cleverly's range of passing and his energy. 3 goals away at International level is always good.

Scotland grinding out a draw against Serbia.

its stapled his place in the side irrespective of how he plays in the future re: michael carrick.Hoboh wrote: +1 Cleverly was always about wanting the ball, wish we had a player like that!
also means he can even be dogshit for his club team and still get capped.
Re: Tonight's Football
Thought we had the better of it (and a boatload of unconverted corners) and pressured their sturdy defence quite well.Annoyed Grunt wrote:Scotland grinding out a draw against Serbia.
Ultimately though those chances fell to Kenny spudhead Miller. Including one open header where he completely misjudged the flight of the ball.

Hard-worker, couldn't score to save his mum.

Hoping Cleverly and young Oxtail Chamberpot can turn it on tonight and keep the hopes alive. We're finally looking like a reasonably decent team so keep it up.

I wouldn't mind seeing that young shaver from Liverpool get a run-out. I've been very impressed with what I've seen of him.

Sterling? Will probably get on, so Jamaica can't then call him up.Bruce Rioja wrote:I wouldn't mind seeing that young shaver from Liverpool get a run-out. I've been very impressed with what I've seen of him.
Re: Tonight's Football
Quality goal from Defoe disallowed because of the Ukrainian acting like a girl.

Re: Tonight's Football
Entertaining stuff this. No Moldova this lot. Well impressed with Selin. Defoe goal disallowed just ridiculous. Beat two a foot bigger than himself then one big cheating Samantha grabs his face and throws himself on the deck. Should have got a red for cheating. Their goal a was a cracker, but letting somebody get a shot in is always dangerous from their. A few sloppy bits and Jagielka can't get shut of the ball quick enough, but Lampard and Gerard are really playing well with the young front line. Gerard's passing is top class and we're unlucky to be behind. Can't miss chances like we have been doing. All round, Roy has got them playing with commitment and effort. Still winnable. Ref's a real Turkish delight, ain't he just.

Re: Tonight's Football
Jagielka out. Isn't up to this class of football. Got left for dead every time and his passing is awful. Get Cahill in. Glen Johnson dangerously too far forward at times, rest encouraging. We had at least three clear-cut chances, hit the post twice and had a goal disallowed. Not bad against a side whose attacking football was a delight at times. Bunch of cheats though, and the ref was a card-happy idiot. Enjoyed the game, shame we didn't win it.
