Quite frankly G.G, they were outplayed by a team more physical, energetic, faster and more committed and skilled. Their wingers tore our defence to ribbons. Nicky Parris was right off form and I wouldn't pick Toni Duggan ( a supposed striker who plays left wing and takes corners?) because she doesn't put the work in, and Beth Mead plays better on the left.. They were sadly missing Ellen White, Jill Scott and Fran Kirby, and what Phil was doing calling Lucy Bronze the best right back in the world (which she probably is) and then playing her in midfield I know not. Even the dependables like Steph Houghton and Millie Bright seemed off form. May just be a bad patch, but truthfully, at this level they just aren't good enough right now. Some of the passing was junior school stuff.

So once again Lionel is the best footballer on the planet.

I see corruption has finally been rooted out of FIFA.

Of course, if one relies on mumsnet.com for information, one might be behind the curve...

Watching our national wonder boys who are not quite having things all their own way. 1-1 at half-time against czechoslovakia but, with qualification for the Euros at stake it might be a good idea to play a wee bit better lads.....

We lost to a better (more determined) side. We should well know what to expect from teams from this area of Europe, they ran at us, man marked and gave us the physicals all match and we weren't up for it. Barclay and Rahford came on too late and only Kane and Sterling came out of it with full credit. We got what we deserved. Rose was very poor and had a torrid time and I think the ref and liners had Czech reltions.

Pretty sure we'll get more of the same as last game tonight, so I hope the show ponies are left in the stable and a few war-horses get in there. I reckon we'll need em.

Teams that you can beat 6-0 (could have been ten, we hit the post twice and missed a couple of chances ) are no real guide to where we're at. I said the other night Rashford and Barcley came on too late. Starting them tonight sort of proved that. A decent looking performance but....? I liked the look of Ben Chillwell over Rose, but whilst Rose didn't play well last game, he was up against tougher opposition. Next game might give a better clue.

Enjoyed the inevitable final step in Pep Guardiola's relationship with goalkeepers as Kyle Walker did the final ten between the sticks. Few things better than an outfielder in nets.

I see Christian has finally found his feet in the pub league.

Only taken him 10 games but he's netted two today.

.
...and he gets the hat-trick!
