They like The Mail less than The Sun?
Now I don't buy newspapers anymore so apart from The Mail being full of reactionary bollocks (and Lady Di conspiracy theories) is there a particular reason they are so despised?

Because they are socialised, as a city, to feeling picked on.Gary the Enfield wrote:They like The Mail less than The Sun?

So any slight is defended, vigorously and completely, and the biggest sin is not to be part of 'the community' Once someone 'outs' something they are more or less compelled to join in.
Then, as we all know, they have memories which never let go.
Eventually this means they will, metaphorically, eat themselves as there will be nothing that someone doesn't oppose leaving them to ponder their own navels.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

My apologies Bobo. I meant why do scousers seem to despise The Mail so much. We know why the scousers are despised.

He's not allowed in a stadium so perhaps he'll be doing his keepy-uppies in the car park?

They always said he was allowed to undertake a transfer. Suspect a ban on him moving employment would be considered unlawful.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:although how that fits in with no football related activity is beyond me.
Anyhow, I'd say it is good news all round.
Liverpool fecked.
Suarez gone.
Still banned.

Re: Suarez .... sociopath
Liverpool who came, was it second, last season ? Who've added about 5 players to that squad and got probably £75m for getting rid of a good goal scorer who's also a personal liability.
I want you to be right. But I doubt you are.

They aren't going down or owt....but I don't see em winning the league.bobo the clown wrote:Liverpool who came, was it second, last season ? Who've added about 5 players to that squad and got probably £75m for getting rid of a good goal scorer who's also a personal liability.

They've lost the best striker in the world at this moment in time. Simple as.
They could have received £300M they wouldn't be able to replace Suarez directly.
They might build a strong squad etc, but that quality will be missed in terms of winning trophies....

It's a good point.
I think the rest of Liverpool's team is better than Spurs' was, plus they can offer CL which Spurs couldn't, plus I think they've got a better manager. Hopefully it goes tits up though!

Re: Suarez .... sociopath
Barcelona are supposed to be "everyone's second team," a team that builds from its academy, plays football the right way and avoids the spendthrift ways and moral unseemliness of Franco's Team. Now after a disappointing season and a potential FIFA transfer embargo they've spent £75 million for a cheating, racist criminal who can't even play for four months.

Barcelona are 400M odd euros in debt, bankrolled by Spanish banks. They are not and have not been a club to hold up as an example to anyone.H. Quite frighteningly, that means we've managed to rack up 50% of Barcelona's debt. Go team Macron!

If we'd run the club without taking on any debt, I wonder where we'd be now?Lord Kangana wrote:Quite frighteningly, that means we've managed to rack up 50% of Barcelona's debt. Go team Macron!
