Venky's - The Fall of Blackburn Rovers (free film)

There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

Well I got 3 minutes 42 seconds in before I felt myself difting off to sleep. It lasts 57 minutes 31 seconds long. I'd be comatose by then. It calls itself a documentary, what I saw was a very very boring interview. The sort of standard of documentary I'd expect Venkys to commission.

Bother not with it if life you value.

I watched it and I would say that it alright but I didn't really learn anything new about the damage the Venky's had caused to the football club.

Really bizarre footnote to a story on the official Blackburn Rovers website AGAIN.....
Meanwhile, contrary to reports in today's local newspaper, Rovers would like to make it clear that the club did not miss out on the signing of Crewe midfielder Luke Murphy by £2,000 per month. The personal terms agreed with the player were substantially more than the figure quoted.
Why bother to clarify that or say it? And what does it even matter now that he's signed for Leeds?

Really are run by amateurs.

Embarrassing, they lost to Carlisle away on penalties tonight what a joke. Out of the league cup before Accrington Stanley oh the embarrassment.

At 43:07 the name of everybody's favourite South African former Wanderer randomly pops up
''Amazing! Out of nothing Bolton are level. A quick throw, Kevin Nolan keeps play alive in the box and finds Kevin Davies on the left who lashes a shot under Oliver Kahn.''

Blackburn's latest financial results have just been released and they are losing £100,000 a day.

Who's that coming up the hill boys,
The Wanderers are coming up the hill boys,
They all laugh at us, they all mock at us,
They all say our days are numbered,

Born to be a Wanderer, victorious are we....

One of their forums states that they are £54.5m in debt and some on there speculate that this season is shit or bust regarding promotion as they have no plan B.

Also there are whispers that the HRMC are to investigate over non payment of tax.

Heard that £54m figure elsewhere, but heard that was what they'd borrowed from Barclays since buying the club to cover playing investments and day to day running. It doesn't include the cash they borrowed to actually buy the club in the first place, which was sourced from every man and his dog apparently.
