5 men sitting in a bar: Mr Wenger, Mr Mourinho, Mr Rodgers, Mr Moyes and Mr Martinez…..
The first round of beers was on Mourinho, he bought a Portuguese beer for each of the others.
The second round was on Martinez, he bought everybody a San Miguel.
The third round was on Wenger, he bought everbody a glass of red wine.
The fourth round was on Rodgers, he bought a pint for everyone except Moyes.
Mr Moyes said: Where’s my pint?
Mr Rodgers looked at him and replied: This is the fourth round, you’re not in it.

Some things are just impossible to recover from. I'm probably scarred for life. If I lived in Liverpool I would have already contacted my solicitor with a view to demanding a public enquiry and compensation. Justice for the jpeg repetitionally inflicted!thebish wrote:apologies. i hope you will soon recover from the disappointment of repetitive jpeg viewing syndrome!Lost Leopard Spot wrote:me too...CrazyHorse wrote:I'm sure I've seen that jpeg somewhere before.....

Mancs PR machine in overdrive possibly. Course the beeb give quite a few, but I reckon every one of the Prem damagers is in contention. I think BSA will get it for all the lonely rain-washed steps he has taken.
Don't try to be a great man. Just be a man and let history make up its own mind.

Imagine the irony?
Re: It's about time somebody started this thread!
did ManU not have quite a decent december? my guess is that winning your games is the chief criterion... the award is only for that month...
Re: It's about time somebody started this thread!
They did lose back to back home games!
1 December v Tottenham (A) drew 2-2
4 December v Everton (H) lost 1-0
7 December v Newcastle (H) lost 1-0
15 December v Aston Villa (A) won 3-0
21 December v West Ham (H) won 3-1
26 December v Hull (A) won 3-2
28 December v Norwich (A) won 1-0
These were easy Christmas fixtures so basically he's got nominated for beating Hull at Hull...

It all depends on your definition of 'decent', I suppose.
Your 'decent' is a bit more charitable than mine Bish.

Anyway, the award has just been given to Pellegrini so sanity prevails.
Incidentally his record for December reads:
1 December v Swansea (H) won 3-0
4 December v West Brom (A) won 3-2
7 December v Southampton (A) drew 1-1
14 December v Arsenal (H) won 6-3
21 December v Fulham (A) won 4-2
26 December v Liverpool (H) won 2-1
28 December v Crystal Palace (H) won 1-0

Your 'decent' is a bit more charitable than mine Bish.
i think it's pretty crudely measured by winning games.. i may be wrong (cos I don't give much a toss about premiership football unless we're in it) but i have an idea that manU won most if not all of their december games - so he was kinda bound to be in the mix...
i doubt Dougie will be picking up the championship equivalent - which is good - cos we all know it is cursed!! - which might be his strategy - avoid the curse of the manager of the month award??

I hope when he got his letter from the FA today, he opened it up and though it was MotM instead of the Disciplinary Summons...Zulus Thousand of em wrote:I've checked this out three times - and it's not a wind up!

I think Busby took over from him IIRC.bobo the clown wrote:I did some work once with Wilf McGuiness. He's a good guy, despite it all.ChrisC wrote:Fergie will be back in the hot seat by the end of the season to look like the big hero. He goes to every game and still can't stay away.
He was the manager who followed Busby and the 'great man' made his life in the new job impossible. It was the period when Charlton was beginning to fade and Best's drinking was getting out of hand. However, when he tried to deal with them they ran off to Busby who would come in and explain to him how he should handle the matters (always with increased tolerance).
He said that on his first official day in the job he went to his (what had been Busby's) office to find the owd bugger sitting in there. He presumed he was simply collecting a few things when he was told that Busby, as now a Director, would continue to use that room. He was walked down the corridor to a smaller room, with his name on the door.
He said he knew then that he either had to overcome Busby or he'd never make the job a success. As we all know he never 'overcome Busby'.
Ferguson is present in Carrington regularly. He's at every match. I see this going the very same way unless Moyses can get the support from the board.
Frankly I think he's toast.
