There ARE other teams(we'd have no-one to play otherwise) and here's where all-comers can discuss the wider world of football......

FIFA have just released a statement saying NO DECISION HAS BEEN MADE.

The Valcke comment was an opinion of his and nothing more.

Straight after a meeting on the subject ? He's just broken ranks.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

From memory, the statement said something about this coming from a radio interview or something similar.

So, winter it will be then.

If that was the case that should have been in the bid. It hasn't suddenly got warmer.

I look forward to Blatter's funeral being sometime prior to these events. Corrupt tosser.
It is an absolute disgrace. Messing around with the football calendar to match the political objectives of FIFA is absolutely ridiculous.

Didn't the bid involve massive air conditioned stadia so as to mitigate the weather problems? Or has that conveniently "been forgotten".

Really angry because it will interrupt the Christmas football program which is a great time to watch football and also will make it much harder to take time off work to watch the actual WC games.
If by "political obejctives" you mean lining of pockets, then yes. I agree.

Once they got the world cup, they said "actually, the air conditioning is a shit idea and it can't actually be done"
"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"
