That's good. Can we all avoid that Chumps League hype then ?
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Mine won't; we're not with BT.
In fact we're with Sky so obviously my bill'll come down now they're not paying for the CL anymore.....

Yeah but BT own most of the infrastructure, so will claw some of this back by charging Sky et al more.

That's the boyo.

That said, generally BT have to charge competitors less than they can sell it internally for...(so competitors can still add their margin and sell competitively...)

I changed from SKY to BT in August. In terms of overall presentation BT are light years behind SKY, but then I'm saving £50+odd a month on what I was previously shelling out.

Also, when I had Sky nor did it ever mute itself for 2 seconds once every minute when you're trying to watch your dime-delayed MotD.

theyve paid about 2 and a quarter times more than the current deal..

it's seriously ONdigital-esque, but i dont know what Gment'll do to prevent that, under the bullshit that the phones'll stop working or some pensions based bollocks that makes other folk shrug and go "same thing happened to me".

and that everyone owns 2 mobile phones.

risky as feck normally.

BT have already said words to the effect of we wont be able to give it away to broadband customers any more. Expect your broadband bills to go up.

i dont think the deal's even exclusive , or even that thing were they buy it all (exclusive) but then have the , erm, sub-selling rights to make some money back selling the highlights to sky or itv or bbc or whoever. i think the highlights deal is sold off seperately, (by uefa probably)

dunno, maybe. makes 'sense' , but can see the PL doing that seperate.

but the way this near £1bn deal news is worded, i'd guess they dont have these kinda 'redistribution' deals.

if not, jesus christ..

more of an excuse to not fibre opt. the exchanges...

..but they can get a £2bn contract off the g'ment if some OAPs in the arse end of nowhere on some ex-farm want it.
