Southampton Vs Clattenburg
Read this earlier and didn't know whether to laugh or shout and swear.
How utterly pathetic to make a complaint. Even if he's wrong about Lallana, so fecking what?

I laughed.
I'd like to start, as I'm sure everyone will, by saying that I think Clattenburg is a proper grade-A cockend, who is a terrible ref and worse person; further, I properly rate Lallana and think he is exactly the sort of player we need to produce more of ... but ... pipe down!
When I heard of the complaint, after the allegatons made by Jon Obi Mikel and Chelsea I thought 'oooh this will be bad'. It's pathetic!

In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

Re: Southampton Vs Clattenburg
If they want Ref's to hide behind a wall of silence even more then complaints about fck-all are the way to go about it.
Though, yep ....Clattenburg IS a cock.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

It reminds me of when certain kids at school act like dicks and talk to me like shit, then I point out a couple of home truths and they go whining to their overindulgent and equally stupid parents.

Coventry City under Strachan years ago had a big falling out with the referees.
They ended up getting relegated.
Football, soft as shite.

Complete non story......

Wrong. It's massive on Sky Sports News!Annoyed Grunt wrote:Complete non story......
I just hate the hypocrisy of it. Presumably Southampton as a club will insist that every player who harangues a ref for a what turns out to be a correct decision, or uses bad language towards a ref, will write to him to apologise immediately.

Re: Southampton Vs Clattenburg
So Rooney and the like (probably Lallana, too) can call refs c*nts, nice people, pricks, cheats, shit etc, but a ref can't say "you've changed"??
"I've got the ball now. It's a bit worn, but I've got it"
Re: Southampton Vs Clattenburg
It's beyond belief. I don't suppose lallana is a fraction as bad as Rooney but he looks a right soft spoilt little bastard now, even if it's the club management who made the complaint. Baby.

And Southampton won't get any decision from any ref for the next 20 years now.

The pgmol shouldn't let it affect their selection of officials. He should get a saints game if he's due one.CrazyHorse wrote:And Southampton won't get any decision from any ref for the next 20 years now.

Yup. You have to be a big club to get away with that.CrazyHorse wrote:And Southampton won't get any decision from any ref for the next 20 years now.
As said above I'd be surprised if Diouff ever got another penalty award after the Blackburn dive.
I recall Sam (or Megson ???) compiling a DVD of piss-poor referee decisions against us ... if I recall Bolton were accused of damaging the integrity of the officials.
Though, as Boris says, the hypocrisy of all this is amazing. If the refs collectively decided now to punish any show of disrespect there'll be more sendings off than goals in each match.

Re: Southampton Vs Clattenburg
Presumably this means that every time a Southampton player wrongly questions a ref's decision, or uses a naughty swear word, they'll be writing a letter of apology to the ref.
